  • Patent number: 11592297
Abstract: Various methods are provided for facilitating map update to an environment map using gradient thresholding. One example method may include detecting an observed feature associated with a first feature decay and generating an interpolated feature that approximates the observed feature associated with a second decay. The method also includes determining a gradient difference between the interpolated feature and a stored map feature. The stored map feature represents an encoding of the observed feature associated with a third decay associated with an environment map. The method also includes determining a relationship between the gradient difference and a feature gradient update threshold, and, based upon the relationship, updating the environment map by at least replacing the map feature representation associated with the environment map with the approximated feature representation.

  • Publication number: 20230055695
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods for abstracting tasks in virtual memory identifier (VMID) containers are disclosed. A processor coupled to a memory executes a plurality of concurrent tasks including a first task. Responsive to detecting one or more instructions of the first task which correspond to a first operation, the processor retrieves a first identifier (ID) which is used to uniquely identify the first task, wherein the first ID is transparent to the first task. Then, the processor maps the first ID to a second ID and/or a third ID. The processor completes the first operation by using the second ID and/or the third ID to identify the first task to at least a first data structure. In one implementation, the first operation is a memory access operation and the first data structure is a set of page tables. Also, in one implementation, the second ID identifies a first application of the first task and the third ID identifies a first operating system (OS) of the first task.

  • Patent number: 11588893
Abstract: Determining which edge nodes should be used for data feed preprocessing based on response time between the edge nodes and the sources and network bandwidth usage. Edge node determination does not rely on which edge node is closest in physical proximity to the source, but rather makes a determination that minimizes transmission time and ensures network bandwidth usage is minimized. Machine learning models associated with source and edge node are trained over time based on observed response times and/or network bandwidth utilization, subsequently the models are executed with bandwidth network set to zero and the model outputting the lowest response time is deemed to be the edge node that is used.

  • Patent number: 11579876
Abstract: A method of save-restore operations includes monitoring, by a power controller of a parallel processor (such as a graphics processing unit), of a register bus for one or more register write signals. The power controller determines that a register write signal is addressed to a state register that is designated to be saved prior to changing a power state of the parallel processor from a first state to a second state having a lower level of energy usage. The power controller instructs a copy of data corresponding to the state register to be written to a local memory module of the parallel processor. Subsequently, the parallel processor receives a power state change signal and writes state register data saved at the local memory module to an off-chip memory prior to changing the power state of the parallel processor.

  • Patent number: 11582765
Abstract: A Radio Access Network (RAN) wirelessly serves a User Equipment (UE) over a frequency channel based on a radio signal metric. The RAN comprises baseband circuitry and a radio. The baseband circuitry determines when multiple Physical Cell Identifiers (PCIs) are available to serve the UE. In response, the baseband circuitry selects some resource blocks in the frequency channel and generates a UE instruction to measure the radio signal metric for the selected resource blocks. The radio receives the UE instruction for the baseband circuitry and wirelessly transfers the UE instruction to the UE. The radio wirelessly receives a measurement report from the UE that indicates the radio signal metric for the selected resource blocks. The radio transfers the measurement report to the baseband circuitry. The baseband circuitry receives the measurement report and responsively schedules the UE in the selected resource blocks based on the radio signal metric.

  • Patent number: 11573814
Abstract: Techniques are described for sharing prepopulated container image caches among container execution environments to improve the performance of container launches. The container images used to prepopulate such a cache at a computing device supporting one or more container execution environments can include various container images that are used as the basis for a wide range of user-created containers such as, for example, container images representing popular operating system distributions, database servers, web-application frameworks, and so forth. Existing systems typically obtain these container images as needed at runtime when launching containers (for example, from a container registry or other external source), often incurring significant overhead in the container launch process.

  • Publication number: 20230026032
Abstract: Emotional loneliness is referred as the absence of an attachment figure in one’s life and someone to turn to. The existing methods use installation of sensors for tracking the movement, behaviour and activity of the person, but most of the efforts are obtrusive in nature. A non-obtrusive method and system for detection of emotional loneliness of a person have been provided. The disclosure is utilizing multiple varied techniques to understand the emotional loneliness. The multiple techniques comprise room change movement anomalies, living room stay anomalies, correlating the living room stay with the bedroom stay and outdoor movement anomalies. The methodology also ensures reduced variance and false positives, as emotional loneliness is finally determined based on more than two positives of above methods. The detection of person’s movement is done using a featured engineered dataset based on collection of raw time series data collected from a plurality of motion sensors.

  • Patent number: 11562459
Abstract: A graphics pipeline includes a cache having cache lines that are configured to store data used to process frames in a graphics pipeline. The graphics pipeline is implemented using a processor that processes frames for the graphics pipeline using data stored in the cache. The processor processes a first frame and writes back a dirty cache line from the cache to a memory concurrently with processing of the first frame. The dirty cache line is retained in the cache and marked as clean subsequent to being written back to the memory. In some cases, the processor generates a hint that indicates a priority for writing back the dirty cache line based on a read command occupancy at a system memory controller.
