  • Publication number: 20060081279
Abstract: A walking assist device includes an elongate shaft having an adjustable length, a handle detachably connected to a proximal end of the elongate shaft, and a curved elongate base that matingly engages a distal end of the elongate shaft. The curved elongate base may have a curved top, a front wall, a rear wall, a pair of opposing sidewalls, and a curved bottom. The curved elongate base may also include a plurality of spaced apart ribs connected to and extending outwardly from the curved bottom, and a connection member connected to and extending outwardly from the curved top to matingly engage the distal end of the elongate shaft.

  • Patent number: 6590025
Abstract: Disclosed are modified latexes having improved drying speed, comprising a polymer having one or more pendant side chains, such side chain comprising the product of the reaction between a mono- or poly-functional group capable of reacting with an acid or hydroxyl unit, and such units present on the precursor polymer. Such modified latexes are storage-stable one-pack compositions useful alone or in combination in coating applications, or as adhesives, sizing agents, composites, impregnants, castings, caulks, and non-woven binders. Also disclosed is a method for providing a crosslinked protective coating on a substrate, comprising the steps of: applying a coating of the composition of the present invention to the substrate; and allowing the composition to cure at ambient temperature or greater, or applying radiation to the composition to effect curing.

  • Publication number: 20020029832
Abstract: A new and improved shoulder bag is disclosed which also would serve as a seat cushion in both the open and closed positions. The shoulder bag would be approximately rectangular in shape and would have two side faces, which would include a first side face and a second side face. The shoulder bag would also have a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges, a first side edge and a second side edge. The shoulder bag would comprise two half sections, with the two half sections being pivotally attached to one another at the bottom edge. The shoulder bag would include a zipper, with the zipper being located on the first side edge, the top edge, and the second side edge. The shoulder bag would also include a shoulder strap clasp, which would provide the user with a hands-free way of carrying small items, such as an umbrella, small beverage coolers, or other items that have a handle for carrying. In addition, items can be carried within the present invention when in the closed position.
