  • Patent number: 7004703
Abstract: A push pin device comprises a pin having a tip and an outer member coupled to and extending at least partially around the pin. The tip of the pin is located inside of the outer member in a retracted position when the outer member is uncompressed. The tip of the pin is located outside of the outer member in an extended position when the outer member is compressed. In the exemplary embodiment, the pin extends from a first portion of the outer member toward a second portion of the outer member and the first portion contacts the second portion when the outer member is compressed. When the first portion is seated in the second portion, the second portion applies an opposing force against the first portion to facilitate removal.

  • Publication number: 20040266502
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved hinge design for a mobile station or other electronic device that simplifies hinge assembly and thus, provides a more cost-effective manufactured product. Moreover, the improved hinge assembly complements the aesthetic appeal of the foldable mobile station and provides less stress on various internal elements. In particular, the present invention includes a foldable mobile station or other foldable electronic device having a first functional component that is coupled to a second functional component via a bi-stable structure. The bi-stable structure functions to bias the first and second functional components in either an open or closed position.

  • Patent number: 5811224
Abstract: This invention pertains to an ultrafiltration process which maintains a constant developer strength in a printing plate developing operation. Such a process enables development of more plates than conventional processes while using less developer and generating less liquid waste. The ultrafiltration process is suitable for both batch and continuous plate development operations. By this process, used developer is filtered and the fluid portion returned to the working developer solution. The filtered out remainder mass is treated with an absorber to convert it into a solid.

  • Patent number: 5147375
Abstract: An extremely safe skin-pricker device in the form of an open-ended tubular shell which carries an open-coil actuator spring which when released by a latchable trigger pushes an actuator shaft to move and cause the pricker needle to travel not only to an intermediate position of relieved stress but also to travel the short distance for the pricking procedure, but then, by the spring's over-travel movement permitted by its open-coil nature, the spring pulls on the shaft to withdraw the needle safely inwardly of a cover-cap which during the pricking is retained on the open end of the shell.
