  • Publication number: 20180364780
Abstract: A configuration interface bus may be coupled to components of a physical layer (PHY) device. A configuration controller may be coupled with the configuration interface bus and may receive an input signal representing a power state of the PHY device. The configuration controller may further identify a set of instructions that correspond to the input signal and may transmit configuration data via the configuration interface bus to one or more of the components of the PHY device in response to an execution of the set of instructions. The operation of the one or more components of the PHY device may be based on the configuration data.

  • Patent number: 10136465
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for providing enhanced access class barring in LTE are provided. In embodiments, the method includes receiving, on a mobile device, a SIB2 message. A barring factor associated with the SIB2 message is identified. In embodiments, the barring factor is dynamic based on traffic parameters associated with a network. An upper limit for a random number is set on the mobile device and the random number is generated. The random number is generated and compared to the barring factor. If the random number is less than the barring factor, access to the network is provided to the mobile device. In embodiments, an additional random number is generated for special users or devices if the random number is greater than or equal to the barring factor.

  • Publication number: 20180331913
Abstract: An information handling system (IHS) includes controller that performs a method of automating acquisition of link local Internet Protocol (IP) network address of servers. Controller acts as Group manager server (GMS) that maintains an inventory of a respective link local Internet Protocol (IP) network address and public key of each server that is addressable over a local area network (LAN). GMS receives an IP network address and credentials associated with a management console that are used to obtain a public key from the management console. GMS transmits to the management console a GMS IP network address and public key associated with the GMS. GMS encrypts the inventory with the public key of the management console to generate an encrypted inventory. GMS transmits the IP network address and the public key of the management console to each server. GMS forwards the encrypted inventory to the management console to enable secure communication.

  • Patent number: 10069782
Abstract: A method is disclosed for facilitating electronic communication between an external contact and an internal point person and between the internal point person and one or more internal team members. An internal collaboration network is created based on a first e-mail received from or sent to the external contact. The membership of the internal collaboration network is based on recipient information from the first e-mail and includes the internal point person but excludes the external contact. A message from the internal point person is automatically sent to the members of the internal collaboration network for display in a private collaboration view of an app on a computing device. Later-sent e-mails from the external contact that have subjects matching the subject of the first e-mail are automatically sent to the membership for display in a customer view of the app.

  • Patent number: 9946676
Abstract: A system-on-a-chip, such as a logical PHY, may be divided into hard IP blocks with fixed routing, and soft IP blocks with flexible routing. Each hard IP block may provide a fixed number of lanes. Using p hard IP blocks, where each block provides n data lanes, h=n*p total hard IP data lanes are provided. Where the system design calls for k total data lanes, it is possible that k?h, so that ?k/n? hard IP blocks provide h=n*p available hard IP data lanes. In that case, h?k lanes may be disabled. In cases where lane reversals occur, such as between hard IP and soft IP, bowtie routing may be avoided by the use of a multiplexer-like programmable switch within the soft IP.

  • Patent number: 9683109
Abstract: The present invention provides self-healing anti corrosive coatings comprising composites of conducting polymers, chitosan and silica particles along with epoxy useful for corrosion prevention under highly corrosive medium like 3.5% NaCl. Tafel plots exhibits significantly high corrosion protection efficiency (99.99%) for the epoxy coatings with 2.0 wt % loading of chitosan-polymer composite. The weight loss measurements and salt spray test results clearly exhibit superior corrosion resistance offered by coatings with chitosan-polymer composite. The synergistic interaction between chitosan and polypyrrole in the composite is expected to improve the corrosion resistance properties of the coatings. The SiO2 particles present in the composite reinforce the integrity of the coating under corrosive conditions.

  • Patent number: 9601121
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein provide systems and methods for override vocoder capacity operating point (COP) allocation. In a particular embodiment, a method provides determining a communication load on a wireless access node. Based on the communication load, the method provides allocating a first COP for a vocoder, wherein the vocoder is used on voice communications exchanged with the wireless access node. The method further provides determining a frame error rate of a wireless communication link between a wireless communication device and the wireless access node. If the frame error rate indicates that a COP of the wireless communication link should be lower than the first COP, the method provides allocating an override COP to the COP of the wireless communication link based on the frame error rate.
