  • Publication number: 20230076120
Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are disclosed for reducing latency during IRAT re-selection in the presence of race conditions. When a UE initiates an IRAT re-selection procedure, and concurrently initiates a call setup procedure, a race condition may result, in which the UE's NAS layer prioritizes the call setup procedure, while the RRC layer prioritizes the IRAT re-selection procedure. This may result in failure of the call setup procedure, which may lead to a user needing to re-initiate the call, resulting in poor user experience and significant latency. To prevent this, the UE may cache a message and/or other information relevant to the call setup procedure, until the IRAT re-selection procedure is complete. The UE may then proceed to complete the call setup procedure. The message may be cached, e.g., at the NAS layer or the RRC layer of the cellular modem, or by an application processor.

  • Patent number: 11560314
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a system and a method for the synthesis of Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) for use in applications like nano-electronics, photonics, bio-imaging, energy storage, quantum computing, etc. Cu substrate is placed inside the CVD tube, and the CVD Chamber is sealed. The process parameters for CVD process are set up. Precursor gases injected inside the tube are dissociate to form carbon dimers and trimmers. Upon cooling semi-cyrstalline carbon film deposits inside the CVD tube. Oxidizing gas mixture is injected to convert amorphous C in semi-cyrstalline carbon film to CO2/CO. Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) so formed are carried with the gas flow and deposited at the cooler end of tube. The scrapper assembly is inserted in the CVD Tube and the reagent is sprayed inside the tube to disperse these GQDs in the reagent. This dispersion is pumped out of the CVD Chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220153139
Abstract: A system for extending a range of an electric vehicle includes a graphene-based metal-air battery system (GMABS), an electrolyte management system (EMS), a flow management system (FMS), one or more auxiliary power sources, and a real-time monitoring and feedback system (RMS). The GMABS includes multiple cells electrically connected to each other and filled with an electrolyte for initiating a reaction to generate power. The EMS regulates a temperature of the electrolyte flowing through the cells. The FMS regulates a circulation of the electrolyte in the GMABS. At least one auxiliary power source is connected to the GMABS to receive and deliver the power to components of the electric vehicle. The RMS continuously computes and monitors a state of charge of each auxiliary power source in real time to facilitate a continuous power delivery to the electric vehicle, thereby extending the range of the electric vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20220073354
Abstract: The embodiments herein provide a facile four-step process for the preparation of binder-free graphene felts that are free standing and mechanically robust. The step of deagglomeration of graphene material leads to a uniform size distribution which when combined/integrated with an appropriate moulding technique allows an easy fine tuning of various attributes of graphene felts including electrical conductivity, porosity, surface area, surface morphology and surface functionalization depending on the desired application. Since graphene felts obtained from this process do not incorporate any binder, to achieve better electrical conductivity, electrochemical activity and catalytic and sensing properties compared to conventional graphene felts while not compromising with their mechanical properties.

  • Patent number: 10873697
Abstract: Multiple users communicate over a network via client devices that include one or more cameras and a display to enable video messaging. At least one of the client devices modifies regions of video data captured by the client device's camera to more prominently identify the people within the video data. To identify a person, the client device disambiguates between actual people and static objects that may appear like people. The client device uses pose models to identify bounding boxes and applies a motion model to determine if a bounding box may include a person based on an amount of movement within the bounding box. If a threshold amount of movement is detected in a bounding box, the client device obtains a higher resolution portion of the scene including the bounding box and classifies whether the bounding box contains a person based on movement within the higher resolution video.

  • Patent number: 10380461
Abstract: Approaches introduce a pre-processing and post-processing framework to a neural network-based approach to identify items represented in an image. For example, a classifier that is trained on several categories can be provided. An image that includes a representation of an item of interest is obtained. Rotated versions of the image are generated and each of a subset of the rotated images is analyzed to determine a probability that a respective image includes an instance of a particular category. The probabilities can be used to determine a probability distribution of output category data, and the data can be analyzed to select an image of the rotated versions of the image. Thereafter, a categorization tree can then be utilized, whereby for the item of interest represented the image, the category of the item can be determined. The determined category can be provided to an item retrieval algorithm to determine primary content for the item of interest.
