    Abstract: A method of producing levoglucosenone from particulate cellulosic material. The method comprises forming a premix of particulate cellulosic material, water, acid and a polar organic solvent. The solvent has a higher boiling point than levoglucosenone. The pre-mix is fed into a pyrolysis reactor, such as a fluidised bed reactor, in which the pre-mix is fluidised by a fluidising gas. The reactor is maintained at a temperature within the range 250° C. to 450° C., and gaseous products and char are withdrawn from the pyrolysis reactor. Levoglucosenone and the polar organic solvent are condensed from the gaseous products, produced by the reactor.

One such packaged module includes a multi-mode power amplifier circuit in an interior of a radio frequency shielding structure and an antenna external to the radio frequency shielding structure. The multi-mode power amplifier circuit also includes a bias circuit configured to control a bias of at least one transistor of the transistor stack based on a mode of the multi-mode power amplifier circuit. The radio frequency shielding structure can extend above a package substrate. The antenna can be on the package substrate.     Abstract: A unit of luggage configured to ascertain its own weight. The unit of luggage comprises a detection assembly with one sensor assembly disposed around each wheel. Each sensor assembly comprises a housing assembly and a shaft disposed therein. The sensor assembly comprises a sensor housing, a cylinder housing and a cylinder. A load cell sensor is generally disposed within the sensor housing and is operatively disposed adjacent to the shaft such that it may engage the sensor and cause an upward deflection that generates a stress indicative of the weight of the unit of luggage being transferred to the particular, corresponding wheel. The cylinder housing is disposed below the sensor housing and encloses the cylinder, which itself encloses the shaft. A frictional resistance between the shaft and the cylinder permits a controlled movement of the shaft therein and permits a processing unit to ascertain a corresponding weight reading.

    Abstract: The technology disclosed directly operates on sequencing data and derives its own feature filters. It processes a plurality of aligned reads that span a target base position. It combines elegant encoding of the reads with a lightweight analysis to produce good recall and precision using lightweight hardware. For instance, one million training examples of target base variant sites with 50 to 100 reads each can be trained on a single GPU card in less than 10 hours with good recall and precision. A single GPU card is desirable because it a computer with a single GPU is inexpensive, almost universally within reach for users looking at genetic data. It is readily available on could-based platforms.

    Abstract: A thermal management system for a vehicle includes a plurality of fluid flow circuits including a heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) circuit circulating a flow of refrigerant therethrough and including an evaporator, a chiller heat exchanger, a first expansion valve located upstream of the evaporator, a second expansion valve located upstream of the chiller heat exchanger, and a heat exchanger located fluidly upstream of the expansion valves. A propulsion cooling circuit circulates a flow of coolant therethrough which is utilized to condition one or more propulsion components of the vehicle. The flow of coolant is directed through the heat exchanger, thus subcooling the flow of refrigerant. A controller is operably connected to one or more control points of the thermal management system and is configured to adjust the one or more control points to achieve a target amount of subcooling of the flow of refrigerant at the heat exchanger.
