  • Patent number: 8965076
Abstract: Methods and systems for analysis of image data generated from various reference points. Particularly, the methods and systems provided are useful for real time analysis of image and sequence data generated during DNA sequencing methodologies.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 13, 2011
Date of Patent: February 24, 2015
    Assignee: Illumina, Inc.
Inventors: Francisco Garcia, Klaus Maisinger, Stephen Tanner, John Moon, Tobias Mann, Michael Lawrence Parkinson, Anthony James Cox, Haifang H. Ge
  • Patent number: 8798936
Abstract: The present disclosure provides computer implemented methods and systems for analyzing datasets, such as large data sets output from nucleic acid sequencing technologies. In particular, the present disclosure provides for data analysis comprising computing the BWT of a collection of strings in an incremental, character by character, manner. The present disclosure also provides compression boosting strategies resulting in a BWT of a reordered collection of data that is more compressible by second stage compression methods compared to non-reordered computational analysis.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2012
Date of Patent: August 5, 2014
    Assignee: Illumina, Inc.
Inventors: Markus J. Bauer, Anthony James Cox, Giovanna Rosone, Dirk Evers

  • Publication number: 20090117621
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of amplifying one or more nucleic acid templates on a solid support in a nucleic acid amplification reaction, for example by solid-phase PCR using one or more amplification primers attached to the solid support. The method is characterised in that the amplification primers used comprise a template-specific portion which is a sequence of at least 26 consecutive nucleotides and are not capable of annealing to target regions in the template under conditions of the amplification reaction. The method is particularly useful for amplifying human genomic DNA.
