  • Patent number: 10936258
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to retargeting online advertisement campaign recommendations for advertisements with multiple items or services. Bids may be based on a combined advertisement creative comprising two or more items or services. Dynamically selecting multiple items at bid time using a retargeting model to determine a potential revenue generation amount associated with an event may increase the probability of a conversion event based on the creative that includes the selected items. In some embodiments, a machine-learned retargeting model may be used to select multiple items to be displayed in an advertisement. The retargeting model may be applied to items that were previously viewed by the consumer and may determine a value for each of the items using factors. A bid may be calculated for each of the selected items using the values determined by the retargeting model.

  • Patent number: 10834470
Abstract: Media content comprises video. The video comprises a sequence of scenes comprising pictures. The media content comprises segments. A method determines when a scene change between a first scene and a second, subsequent, scene occurs within a predetermined proximity to a boundary between segments. When a scene change occurs within a predetermined proximity of an end of a segment, at least a first picture in the second scene is discarded and an additional picture is inserted in the first scene. When a scene change occurs within a predetermined proximity of a start of a segment, at least one picture in the first scene is discarded and an additional picture is inserted in the second scene. The additional picture can be a repeat or a copy of an existing picture, or it can be based on at least one existing picture in the first scene, such as by interpolation.

  • Patent number: 10825064
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for preventing duplicate content selection for digital presentation. In one embodiment, an example method may include determining a first bid request for a first content delivery slot at a first time, the first bid request having a first user identifier, determining a ranking of candidate product identifiers for which the first user identifier is eligible at the first time, and determining a second bid request for a second content delivery slot at a second time, the second bid request having the first user identifier, where the second time is within a predetermined time interval of the first time. Example methods may include determining an impression counter value for the first user identifier at the second time, selecting a product identifier from the candidate product identifiers using the impression counter value, and determining a first bid amount using the product identifier.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology may comprise a method and apparatus for in-place fast Fourier transform (FFT). According to various embodiments, the apparatus comprises a RAM, having a single address space, divided into a plurality of sub-memory spaces, where the number of sub-memory spaces is a function of a length of the FFT such that the two inputs are always from different sub-memories, as are the two outputs. According to various embodiments, the apparatus may further comprise a division circuit configured to perform a “bitwise” division operation in order to convert addresses from the aforementioned single address space to the particular sub-memories and addresses within them. According to various embodiments, the apparatus may further comprise a butterfly processor capable of performing a butterfly operation.

  • Patent number: 10768718
Abstract: A spherical input device 105 for navigating a virtual environment 102 is activated for touch sensitivity at any point on its surface 801 by a capacitive touch sensor 709 that includes first and second capacitance-sensing elements 710 and 711. A first variable capacitance 806 is formed between a first capacitance-sensing element and a first area of the user's hands through a first hemisphere 802. A second variable capacitance 807 is formed between a second capacitance-sensing element and a second area of the user's hands through the second hemisphere 803. A touch-responsive capacitance 805 includes the first variable capacitance in series with the second variable capacitance. Gestural data is derived from the touch-responsive capacitance and device rotations, and transmitted in gestural radio signals 108 to a receiver 109. One or both of the capacitance-sensing elements is configured to minimize attenuation of the gestural radio signals passing through the surface.
