  • Publication number: 20240073468
Abstract: Introduced here are systems to manage and discover a processing offloader. A first multimedia device may identify a processing offloader in a networked environment. A first multimedia device may determine that a bandwidth of a second multimedia device in the networked environment falls below a threshold bandwidth, indicating that the second multimedia device may process instructions and render multimedia information with increased latency or delay. Based on this determination, the first multimedia device may forward instructions from the second multimedia device to the processing offloader for the processing offloader to process and render multimedia information on behalf of the second multimedia device based on the received instructions. The first multimedia device may forward rendered multimedia information from the processing offloader to the second multimedia device, and the second multimedia device may output the rendered multimedia information to an output device.

  • Patent number: 11904843
Abstract: A method and system for autonomous parking are disclosed. The system employs Homography guided motion segmentation (HGMS) to determine the availability of a parking slot. A free parking slot is determined based on an occupancy status check and identified structures of parking lines. For example, motion analysis is performed on successive images captured by a camera unit to determine the occupancy status of a parking slot. Information of the free parking slot, for example, the dimensions and orientation, may be determined from identifying the structure of parking lines. This information is used by the system to guide a vehicle from its current location to the detected free parking slot.

  • Patent number: 11706078
Abstract: A network disruption detection engine gathers and stores network routing path update messages that routinely modify routing tables used by internet routers for transporting message traffic between a source and a destination. Routing path messages continually maintain a network transport infrastructure both for intranets used for particular entities such as corporations, and internet traffic between arbitrary source and destination nodes. Major disruptions or outages typically result in an increase in routing path messages, typically focused on a particular set, region or network entity where the disruption occurred, as other routing entities seek to avoid the troubled region. Analysis of this sudden activity of routing messages and extracting message content about the network region they seek to avoid allows identification and queries of a widespread network outage.

  • Publication number: 20230127002
Abstract: A reactive path planner for vehicles is disclosed. The reactive path planner, based on a nominal path from A to B, generates alternative parallel paths which are displaced by a predefined lateral distance from the nominal path using constrained quintic polynomials. Constraints are imposed on the alternative paths to ensure safety and comfort based on dynamic and mechanical feasibilities of the vehicle. A cost function is applied to the nominal path and alternative paths select the path with the least cost. The reactive path planner achieves a complete path planning solution with high computational efficiency, even in highly cluttered and dynamic environments.

  • Publication number: 20230122293
Abstract: An autonomous driving system capable of detecting oncoming occluded vehicles is disclosed in low-light conditions. The system captures images which are processed and analyzed to determine bright spots in a region of interest which are related to reflections of an oncoming occluded vehicle. If an oncoming occluded vehicle is detected, the system analyzes the criticality of the situation based on a tunable threshold distance. The tunable threshold distance from the equipped vehicle (vehicle with the autonomous driving system) to the oncoming occluded vehicle. Factors for tuning the threshold distance may include curvature of the road, sharpness of the turn or occluded area, road surface conditions, speed of the equipped vehicle as well as mechanical capabilities of the equipped vehicle. If the situation is critical, the system generates a warning signal indicating a hazardous condition.

  • Publication number: 20210016068
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein that generally involve shunting fluid, e.g., shunting cerebrospinal fluid in the treatment of hydrocephalus. Self-cleaning catheters are provided which include split tips configured such that pulsatile flow of fluid in a cavity in which the catheter is inserted can cause the tips to strike one another and thereby clear obstructions. Catheters with built-in flow indicators are also provided. Exemplary flow indicators include projections that extend radially inward from the interior surface of the catheter and which include imageable portions (e.g., portions which are visible under magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)). Movement of the flow indicators caused by fluid flowing through the catheter can be detected using MRI, thereby providing a reliable indication as to whether the catheter is partially or completely blocked.

  • Patent number: 10610344
Abstract: A device for use within a woman's urethra for obstructing urine outflow when the pressure in the woman's abdomen is at or above a threshold pressure level (IAP1). The device also allows urine outflow when the intra-abdominal pressure is below the threshold pressure level (IAP1). The device includes a flexible tube that is configured to be inserted into a urethra, wherein the tube defines a lumen that has inlet and outlet openings. The tube is configured to receive, conduct and discharge urine. The tube is further configured such that the lumen is at least partially obstructed when the pressure on the urethra surrounding the tube at least meets the threshold pressure (IAP1), and the lumen is more open when the pressure on the urethra surrounding the tube is at a level below a second, lower, threshold pressure (IAP2).
