  • Patent number: 7268605
Abstract: A technique for operating a delay circuit is disclosed. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the technique may be realized by a delay circuit comprising a plurality of data paths. The delay circuit may receive a signal. The delay circuit may also stagger transmissions of the signal through the plurality of data paths. The delay circuit may additionally generate a plurality of signals based on the staggered transmissions. Each of the plurality of data paths in the delay circuit may comprise at least one of an inverter, a logic gate, a flip-flop, a latch, a register, or a resistor-capacitor (RC) delay element.

  • Patent number: 7048315
Abstract: A door lock is provided for use with a door handle having a lever movable about a shaft extending perpendicularly to the lever and connected to a latch mechanism which controls the opening and closing of a door. The lock includes a housing configured to be coupled to the door handle and a blocking member movable relative to the housing between a lever-blocking position blocking movement of the lever to prevent opening of the door and a lever-releasing position permitting movement of the lever to permit opening of the door. From the lever-blocking position, the blocking member is moved to the lever-releasing position by first pushing the blocking member inwardly against a spring to free the blocking member, and then moving the blocking member relative to the housing.

  • Publication number: 20060071683
Abstract: Described are on-die termination (ODT) systems and methods that facilitate high-speed communication between a transmitter die and a receiver die interconnected via one or more signal transmission lines. An ODT control system in accordance with one embodiment calibrates and maintains the termination resistances for the signal transmission lines. The ODT control system derives a number of calibration currents from precision voltage and resistance references and distributes the reference currents to a number of transmitters. Each transmitter then derives an ODT calibration signal using the respective reference current and another precision resistor, and then employs the calibration signal to calibrate local termination elements. Distributing calibrated currents provides excellent noise immunity, while limiting the requisite number of external voltage references reduces cost.

  • Patent number: 6942257
Abstract: A latch for a cabinet door or drawer for preventing access to the interior of the cabinet or drawer. The latch includes a hook spring biased to engage a catch and that allows the door or drawer to be only slightly opened enough to allow a caregiver to reach the latch and displace it out of the way so that the door or drawer can then be fully opened. When released the latch returns to the biased position. The latch may also disengage the spring so as to be fully disabled and allow the door or drawer to be opened freely.

  • Publication number: 20050140119
Abstract: The mechanical combination described here is a hybrid interconvertible shopping basket and wheeled vehicle. These combination shopping basket/vehicles are carried by a handle or strap, but may be interconverted at the customer's signal to wheeled baskets while continuing to shop. On wheels, these hybrids are generally freestanding, level, elevated to a convenient height, and can be rolled from place to place. These hybrids are specially adapted for a unique method of shopping, which also forms the basis for their sale and use in business as a specially adapted tool for merchandising.

  • Publication number: 20040177525
Abstract: The invention is directed to a template for use in making inserts for media storage cases. The template includes a body portion having a boundary edge defining a shape. The template may be placed on a sheet. The template is slideable along a top surface of the sheet, such that the template may be placed at a desired position on the sheet, for example over printed information about the contents of the media to be stored in the media storage case. The user can trace along the boundary edge onto the sheet using a pen, pencil or other drawing implement and then cut-out the shape or the user can cut the sheet directly by tracing along the boundary of the template using a knife or other cutting implement. The resulting cut-out shape forms the insert that may be inserted into the media storage case. A gripping portion may be provided on the body portion of the template, to be gripped by a user to assist in manipulating the position of the template on the sheet.
