    Abstract: The disclosure is of a front deflector for a mower having cutter-carrying discs driven from beneath, the deflector having an edge to co-operate with a frustoconical element which it partly surrounds, said edge having its lower extremity above the rear outer part of the outer disc cutting zone and its upper extremity substantially above the forward part of said zone, the distance between the upper part of the outer disc and said edge increasing from the lower extremity to the upper extremity of said edge.
