  • Publication number: 20070193188
Abstract: A muntin clip is adapted to be connected to a muntin bar end and a spacer frame. The muntin clip includes a base member adapted for connection to the spacer frame and a bar support adapted for connection to the muntin bar end. The base member has a first segment, a second segment, and a mount structure. The bar support extends from the base member and has a first segment extending from the first segment of the base member and a second segment extending from the second segment of the base member. A flexible hinge member connects the first segment of the bar support to the second segment of the bar support, allowing the muntin clip assembly to move between an unfolded position and a folded position. A tension mechanism exerts outward force on the first and second segments of the base member when the muntin clip assembly is in the folded position.

  • Patent number: 5569039
Abstract: Electrical connector devices are provided for interconnecting external conductors with a connecting member such as a circuit which has upwardly projecting components that are adjacent contact areas on an exposed surface. The connector device comprises an insulator body for supporting a plurality of conductor elements in spaced relation to one another. The insulator body includes a plurality of cantilever hollow projections which have a length that exceeds the height of the components above the contact surfaces. The projections extend from the conductor sites generally parallel to one another and are disposed to mate the contact surfaces while providing spaces therearound to receive and accommodate the components. The insulator body preferably is a unitary molded body which includes the projections. An axially compressible conductive means extends through each of the hollow projections from the respective conductor site to an exposed end at the distal end of the respective projection.

  • Patent number: 5139444
Abstract: An electrical jack plug includes an insulating sleeve member disposed over the conductor and ground contact portions of a tip contact member. The sleeve member includes a thin conductive outer sleeve member and an insulating plastic inner sleeve member press fit inside the outer sleeve member. The inner sleeve member has a portion, disposed on the interior thereof, adapted to mate with a complimentary portion of a tip contact member. In assembly, the conductor and ground contacting portions of the tip contact member are surrounded by the insulating inner sleeve member to prevent shorting of such connections. The insulating inner sleeve member has an annular portion extending beyond the conductive outer sleeve member. The inner sleeve member may be comprised of colored plastic to provide a readily visible color coding scheme for interconnections provided by the electrical jack plug.

  • Patent number: 5115375
Abstract: A retainer sleeve having a cylindrically curved wall of resilient material spaced radially from its longitudinal centerline for defining a tapered leading end portion, a midportion and an opposing trailing end portion of the sleeve. The defining wall has extended through its thickness a longitudinally coextensive first opening with an open end portion in the trailing end portion of the sleeve disposed in opposing relationship with a hinge portion of the wall. The hinge portion terminates in a closed end of a longitudinal second opening in the wall having an opposing open end portion disposed in diametric opposing relationship with an opposing open end portion of the first opening in the leading end portion of the sleeve. Thus, the first and second openings form therebetween first and second opposing flexible legs which have in the midportion of the sleeve respective proximal end portions.

  • Patent number: 4959028
Abstract: An electrical connector comprising a dielectric body including a housing having therein an open-ended cavity with an opposing closed end formed of a contact support wall of the housing. The wall has extended through its thickness a plurality of laterally spaced holes which communicate with respective aligned channels in the outer surface of the wall. Each of the through-holes has a defining surface from which protrudes integrally a ripple-like projection extending linearly from adjacent the outer surface of the wall toward the cavity. Each of the channels has opposing side surfaces from which protrude integrally respective ripple-like projections having spaced opposing crest portions. The holes are dimensioned for having press-fitted therein contact engaging arms of respective right-angle contact members which compress the respective ripple-like projections in the holes and are pressed against respective opposing surfaces thereof.

  • Patent number: 4921431
Abstract: A connector adaptor assembly comprising a trough-like frame made of resilient dielectric material and having a connector retainer end portion wherein opposing side walls of the frame are integrally joined to respective taller resilient posts having respective inwardly projected portions extending toward one another. Distal end portions of the posts have adjacent an end of the frame respective surfaces supporting respective integrally protruding bosses which are spaced laterally a predetermined distance apart. The assembly also includes an electrical connector with a cylindrical body disposed recumbently in the frame and having chordally disposed in opposing portions thereof respective slots which are aligned with the respective posts. Adjacent the slots, an annular flange extends radially outward of the body and has a diameter greater than the predetermined distance of lateral spacing between the bosses.
