    Abstract: Apparatus and method for compiling an image is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a deflector, a detector, and a processor. The deflector is operable to deflect light incident thereon by a controllable angular deflection, and is arranged to receive light from a moveable field of view within a field of regard by controlling the angular deflection. The detector is arranged to receive deflected light and output an image component composed from the deflected light. The processor is arranged to control the angular deflection to select a part of the field of regard to be received at the detector, and to receive a sequence of such image components from the detector. The apparatus is configured to receive each image component passively, and the processor is operable to compile the sequence of image components to form a composite image of at least a part of the field of regard.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for audio stream sharing via a wireless link between an audio source device having an RF transceiver and audio sink devices each having an RF transceiver and a body area network (BAN) transceiver is described. Audio data is wirelessly streamed between an audio source device and an audio sink device via the respective RF transceiver. A user contact is detected on one of the audio sink device and a further audio sink device resulting in a BAN connection between the respective BAN transceivers of the audio sink device and the further audio sink device. In response to determining the user contact, a wireless link is setup between the audio source device and the further audio sink device. Audio data is then wirelessly streamed between the audio source and the further audio sink device via the respective RF transceivers.

    Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to routing autonomous vehicles based upon spatiotemporal factors. A computing system receives an origin location and a destination location of an autonomous vehicle. The computing system identifies a route for the autonomous vehicle to follow from the origin location to the destination location based upon output of a spatiotemporal statistical model. The spatiotemporal statistical model is generated based upon historical data from autonomous vehicles when the autonomous vehicles undergo operation-influencing events. The spatiotemporal statistical model takes, as input, a location, a time, and a direction of travel of the autonomous vehicle. The spatiotemporal statistical model outputs a score that is indicative of a likelihood that the autonomous vehicle will undergo an operation-influencing event due to the autonomous vehicle encountering a spatiotemporal factor along a candidate route.

A computing system receives an origin location and a destination location of the autonomous vehicle. The computing system identifies a route for the autonomous vehicle to follow from the origin location to the destination location based upon output of a computer-implemented model. The computer-implemented model is generated based upon labeled data indicative of instances in which autonomous vehicles are observed to transition from operating autonomously to operating based upon conduction by human operators while the autonomous vehicles are executing predefined maneuvers. The computer-implemented model takes, as input, an indication of a maneuver in the predefined maneuvers that is performed by the autonomous vehicle when the autonomous vehicle follows a candidate route.

The array of liquid crystal cells form a plurality of patches; and the control electronics is configured to control the phase shifts of the cells of each patch to form each patch into a respective lens that focuses electromagnetic radiation towards the detector such that the plurality of patches form an array of lenses.
