  • Publication number: 20240104180
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for performing user authentication. For example, a process can include obtaining a plurality of images associated with a face and a facial expression of the user, wherein each respective image of the plurality of images includes a different portion of the face. An encoder neural network can be used to generate one or more predicted three-dimensional (3D) facial modeling parameters, wherein the encoder neural network generates the one or more predicted 3D facial modeling parameters based on the plurality of images. A reference 3D facial model associated with the face and the facial expression can be obtained. An error can be determined between the one or more predicted 3D facial modeling parameters and the reference 3D facial model, and the user can be authenticated user based on the error being less than a pre-determined authentication threshold.

  • Patent number: 11928849
Abstract: A mechanism is provided to implement an action-object interaction detection mechanism for recognizing actions in cluttered video scenes. An object bounding box is computed around an object of interest identified in a corresponding label in an initial frame where the object of interest appears in the frame. The object bounding box is propagated from the initial frame to a subsequent frame. For the initial frame and the subsequent frame: the object bounding boxes of the initial frame and the subsequent frame are refined and cropped based on the associated refined object bounding boxes. The set of cropped frames are processed to determine a probability that an action that is to be verified from the corresponding label is being performed. Responsive to determining the probability is equal to or exceeds a verification threshold, a confirmation is provided that the action-object interaction video performs the action that is to be verified.

  • Patent number: 11868448
Abstract: Techniques for host resource group sharing in a provider network are described. A resource share is made of a host resource group made up of dedicated hosts in the provider network. The share provides access to the host resource group of a primary account with one or more other principals—e.g., user accounts, an organization, or a group of users. The other principals can launch compute instances into the host resource group, which may cause the automatic provisioning of new hosts into the host resource group, of the primary account, as needed.

  • Patent number: 11870683
Abstract: A method for improving availability of a type of network element in a mobile network includes receiving a first message from a source network element at a first network element instance that belongs to a network element anycast set. The first message is addressed to an anycast address that is assigned to the network element anycast set. The first network element instance processes the first message and accesses an anycast set data store in relation to processing the first message. The method also includes receiving a second message from the source network element at a second network element instance that also belongs to the network element anycast set. The second message is also addressed to the anycast address and can be received when the first network element instance is unavailable. The second network element instance processes the second message and accesses the anycast set data store in relation thereto.

  • Publication number: 20230420574
Abstract: Techniques are provided herein to form semiconductor devices on a substrate with an alternative crystallographic surface orientation. The techniques are particularly useful with respect to gate-all-around and forksheet transistor configurations. A substrate having a (110) crystallographic surface orientation forms the basis for the growth of alternating types of semiconductor layers. Both n-channel and p-channel transistors may be fabricated using silicon nanoribbons formed from some of the alternating semiconductor layers. The crystallographic surface orientation of the Si nanoribbons will reflect the same crystallographic surface orientation of the substrate, which leads to a higher hole mobility across the Si nanoribbons of the p-channel devices and an overall improved CMOS device performance.

  • Publication number: 20230401673
Abstract: Imaging systems and techniques are described. An imaging system receives, from an image sensor, image(s) of a user (e.g., in a pose and/or with a facial expression). The image sensor captures the first set of image(s) in a first electromagnetic (EM) frequency domain, such as the infrared and/or near-infrared domain. The imaging system generates a representation of the user in the first pose in a second EM frequency domain (e.g., visible light domain) at least in part by inputting the image(s) into one or more trained machine learning models. The representation of the user is based on an image property associated with image data of at least the part of the user in the second EM frequency domain. The imaging system outputs the representation of the user in the pose in the second EM frequency domain.
