  • Patent number: 11948556
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for detecting and/or enrolling (or commissioning) new “hot commands” that are useable to cause an automated assistant to perform responsive action(s) without having to be first explicitly invoked. In various implementations, an automated assistant may be transitioned from a limited listening state into a full speech recognition state in response to a trigger event. While in the full speech recognition state, the automated assistant may receive and perform speech recognition processing on a spoken command from a user to generate a textual command. The textual command may be determined to satisfy a frequency threshold in a corpus of textual commands Consequently, data indicative of the textual command may be enrolled as a hot command. Subsequent utterance of another textual command that is semantically consistent with the textual command may trigger performance of a responsive action by the automated assistant, without requiring explicit invocation.

  • Publication number: 20240046263
Abstract: A blockchain system for mining a transaction using parallel blocks to improve scalability is provided. The blockchain system includes a sender node, a blockchain network, and mining nodes. The sender node (i) creates a transaction, and (ii) broadcasts the transaction on the blockchain network. Each of the mining nodes is configured to (I) split the transaction into disjoint subsets based on a hash value of the public key; (II) assign the disjoint subsets to a plurality of sub-chains that are mined in parallel by a plurality of miners; (III) mine the parallel block followed by a mining block; and (IV) verify multiple sets of transactions associated with the parallel block using an umbrella-proof-of-work method, thereby improving scalability of the blockchain system.

  • Patent number: 11893309
Abstract: In response to a user interacting with a tangible peripheral assistant control device (e.g., depressing a button of the device), causing an automated assistant to perform one or more actions. The action(s) performed can be based on input previously provided by the user in configuring the peripheral assistant control device. The action(s) performed in response to interaction with the peripheral assistant control device can vary based on one or more conditions, such as which user is currently active, where the peripheral assistant control device is currently located (which can optionally be inferred based on which of multiple assistant computing devices the button is paired with), and/or the current state of one or more smart devices and/or other devices (e.g., as determined based on a device topology). A utility of the peripheral assistant control device can be automatically extended beyond what was specifically requested by a user during configuration.

  • Patent number: 11887860
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for forming integrated circuit structures having a plurality of semiconductor fins, which in turn can be used to form non-planar transistor structures. The techniques include a mid-process removal of one or more partially-formed fins. The resulting integrated circuit structure includes a plurality of semiconductor fins having relatively uniform dimensions (e.g., fin width and trough depth). In an embodiment, the fin forming procedure includes partially forming a plurality of fins, using a selective etch stop built into the semiconductor structure in which the fins are being formed. One or more of the partially-formed fins are removed via sacrificial fin cut mask layer(s). After fin removal, the process continues by further etching trenches between the partially-formed fins (deep etch) to form portion of fins that will ultimately include transistor channel portion. A liner material may be deposited to protect the partially-formed fins during this subsequent deep trench etch.

  • Patent number: 11870814
Abstract: Systems and methods for a unified, cloud-managed platform for controlling enterprise network security are provided. According to one embodiment, a network of an enterprise is protected by a cloud-managed platform. An underlying architecture of the cloud-managed platform is abstracted by providing a portal through which modifications to security policies are expressed as business requirements of the enterprise. The security policies are automatically enforced regardless of location or endpoint. A policy digest, including information regarding the modifications and formatted according to a predefined format, generated and locally queued by the portal is retrieved.

  • Patent number: 11768954
Abstract: The exemplary embodiments provide real-time data capture and processing which improves data processing performance and speed and facilitate passing of the processed data to various analytical sources, while maintaining superior data quality checks, particularly with respect to data elements associated with multiple data types. The proposed system and process can be used to continuously consume and listen to multiple events while mapping the events to appropriate schemas provided in a separate schema stream. The schema stream is provided once and cached to minimize bandwidth consumed by the transaction stream. The schema information is then further enriched with information from a metadata registry. The event data may then be compressed and aligned in memory tables based on the enriched schema. Once events are decoded and sorted into memory tables in accordance to the identified schema, each memory table can be processed in parallel.

  • Publication number: 20220411309
Abstract: A glass manufacturing apparatus includes a forming apparatus defining a travel path extending in a travel direction. The forming apparatus conveys a ribbon of glass-forming material along the travel path in the travel direction of the forming apparatus. The glass manufacturing apparatus includes a cooling tube extending substantially parallel to the travel path and extending across the travel direction. The cooling tube includes a plurality of orifices spaced apart along the cooling tube and facing the travel path. Methods of manufacturing glass can comprise flowing a coolant from an outlet of a conduit in a direction toward a target location of a flowing ribbon of molten material. Methods can also include changing a phase of the coolant while the coolant is flowing towards the target location. The change in phase can cool the target location.

  • Publication number: 20220394280
Abstract: A video encoder receives a minimum number of bits (MIN) and a maximum number of bits (MAX) to be used to encode a segment of a sequence of image frames, the segment including a set of pictures contained in the sequence of image frames. The video encoder encodes the set of pictures using a total number of bits greater than the minimum number of bits (MIN), and not exceeding the maximum number of bits (MAX). Thus, the transmission bit-rate of the video encoder can be constrained to lie within a maximum and minimum rate. In an embodiment, the constraints are enforced over relatively short time intervals.
