Publication number: 20140041581Abstract: A head for dispensing a thin film of a fluid over a substrate is disclosed. The head includes a body assembly that extends between a first and a second end that is at least a width of the substrate. The body includes a main bore that is defined between the first and the second ends, the main bore connected to an upper side of a reservoir through a plurality of feeds that are defined between the main bore and the reservoir. The body also includes a plurality of outlets connected to a lower side of the reservoir and extends to an outlet slot. The plurality of feeds has a larger cross-sectional area than the plurality of outlets and the plurality of feeds are fewer than the plurality of outlets. The fluid is configured to flow through the main bore, through the plurality of feeds along the bore and fill the reservoir up to at least the threshold level before fluid is evenly output as a film out of the outlet slot onto the substrate.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 11, 2013Publication date: February 13, 2014Applicant: Lam Research CorporationInventors: Arnold Kholodenko, Cheng-yu Lin, Leon Ginzburg, Mark Mandelboym, Gregory A. Publication number: 20100169119Abstract: A system and method is disclosed to functionally show how to use a technology-based continuous quality improvement platform with software integration to improve the execution of complex processes in a measurable way. The platform demonstrates how healthcare delivery, as one example of a complex process, is represented as an input-output system (inputs represent determinants of outcomes, and outputs represent the impact those determinants have on specific measures). The software system helps execute tasks, monitors responses (i.e. outputs), learns (by correlating inputs to outputs), and adjusts (by providing practical decision support to users); ultimately these are the basic steps to create a technology based continuous quality improvement methodology for complex systems. Healthcare as one example of a complex input-output model: Inputs represent the ingredients and contextual factors of healthcare delivery that would have impact on metrics that are tracked (i.e.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 31, 2008Publication date: July 1, 2010Inventor: Anwar A. Publication number: 20060282302Abstract: A system and method for managing tasks and workflow in a complex environment such as a healthcare unit are described. The architecture of the inventive system includes core components and peripheral components that interact with each primarily through an interfacing event framework application within the core system. In addition to the event framework, the core system comprises a collaborative task platform and an intelligence application. The peripheral components include input devices for users, a system applications server, an integration server, person and asset tracking tags, a database server, and a knowledge base. The system manages workflow through a task-based orientation, and making use of task-based process mapping. Tasks may be created, including unstructured tasks, tasks may further be monitored, shared, transferred, and completed. The process may be envisioned as circular feedback loop including task management, metrics tracking, and real time process feedback.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 28, 2006Publication date: December 14, 2006Inventor: Anwar Hussain
