    Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for data packet routing in a remote unit. An apparatus includes a memory coupled to a processor, where the processor configured to cause the apparatus to receive a data packet to be transmitted and determine a matching UE route selection policy (“URSP”) rule for the data packet. The processor is configured to determine packet routing information for the data packet if the matching URSP rule does not indicate that direct offload of the data packet is preferred and determine whether the packet routing information matches a first network connection. Upon determining that the packet routing information matches the first network connection, the processor is configured to cause the apparatus to transmit the data packet to a mobile communication network over the first network connection.

The method (600) includes configuring (606) a data connection corresponding to the data connection establishment request to accept data traffic between the remote unit and the destination addresses.
