In some embodiments, the control circuit of a memory module includes multiple transceivers for connecting to serial data lanes. In one embodiment, the memory interface of a memory module configures some transceivers for host connection or for upstream connection to an upstream memory module and configures other transceivers for downstream connection to a downstream memory module.     Abstract: To authorize a transaction between a host and a server, a token is operationally connected to the host. The host receives an identification credential of a user. The identification credential is verified by the token and/or by the server. If the token detects a prescribed human action, the token generates token authentication data and the host sends the token authentication data to the server. Upon receiving the authentication data, the server authenticates the transaction. A device for authenticating a transaction includes a device interface for interacting with a host, a connector for reversibly operationally connecting the device to the host, and a controller that authenticates the transaction only once, contingent on detecting a prescribed anonymous human action. One such human action is providing one or more inputs at the host's user interface synchronously with outputs at the device's user interface.

In some embodiments, in order to transfer the session between the first terminal and second terminal, the user terminals are brought in proximity or into contact, and data indicative of the session is sent via a short-range communications channel, for example a short-range contact or ‘wired’ channel, or a short-range wireless link, for example, a Bluetooth or infrared link.

    Abstract: A storage device, host device, and method are provided for using a common digital rights management (DRM) module to enforce an association between content and a user interface application. In one embodiment, a storage device is provided with a DRM module that receives a request from a user interface application to play back content protected by DRM. The DRM module determines if the user interface application is authorized to play back the content and also if rights associated with the content are valid. If the DRM module determines both that the user interface application is authorized to play back the content and that the rights associated with the content are valid, the DRM module provides the content to a playback module for playback.
