    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) indicates an intent to transmit on sidelink sub-channels using a transmission indication and then monitors receptions of transmission grants transmitted from one or more other devices, such as UEs or base stations, and determines whether or not to proceed with the sidelink transmission on the sub-channels based on the received transmission grants. A device monitors transmission indications transmitted from UEs to determine a UE that can proceed with a sidelink transmission on sub-channels, and transmits a transmission grant corresponding to the UE that can proceed with the sidelink transmission on sub-channels.
