  • Patent number: 7160932
Abstract: Bone cements containing polyacrylates or polymethacrylates and an X-ray contrast medium can be prepared by functionalizing the X-ray contrast medium with (meth)acrylate groups prior to being coating with melamine-formaldehyde resin and subsequent polymerization. The invention resultant bone cement can be used for anchoring prosthesis components in bone, for stiffening bone, as bone screw fixing plug and as implants for anchoring screws.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 18, 2003
Date of Patent: January 9, 2007
    Assignee: Biomet Deutschland GmbH
Inventors: Frank Schilke, Berthold Nies, Brigitte Jeschke, Matthias Koch, Armin Kuebelbeck
  • Publication number: 20060014019
Abstract: The invention relates to a nonflake coated coloring pigment which consists of an inorganic or organic, amorphous or partially crystalline material and which is provided with at least one coating, where each layer comprises at least one cured melamine-formaldehyde resin or consists of one such resin. The pigment is particularly readily suitable for producing cosmetic products. It confers a pleasant skin sensation to the user of the cosmetic products.

    Inventors: Armin Kuebelbeck, Jens Eichhorn
  • Publication number: 20050204958
Abstract: Coated platelet-shaped carrier material composed of an inorganic substrate provided with at least one coating, each layer comprising at least one cured melamine-formaldehyde resin or being composed of such a resin, and also a process for preparing the coated carrier material and its use as effect pigment.

Inventors: Armin Kuebelbeck, Ralf Anselmann, Jens Eichhorn
  • Publication number: 20040185252
Abstract: The invention describes a process for the production of functionalised unreactive substrates in which the surface of the substrate is firstly coated with a melamine-formaldehyde resin and subsequently reacted with a functionalising reagent.

  • Publication number: 20030160026
Abstract: The invention relates to novel etching media in the form of printable, homogenous, particle-free etching pastes with non-Newtonian flow properties for the etching of inorganic surfaces, in particular, of glasses, preferably on silicon oxide and silicon nitride based glass and other silicon oxide and silicon nitride based systems and layers thereof. The invention further relates to the use of said etching media.
