  • Patent number: 11518989
Abstract: A method of improving a ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase/oxygenase (RuBisCo) to have a higher protein score is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: making a modified RbcL of the RuBisCo, by, on an RbcL unit of the RuBisCo, either substituting Met for Leu, Phe, Val, or Ile or combinations thereof; substituting Lys for Arg, Thr, or His or combinations thereof; or both of these substitutions. The modified RbcL consequently modifies the RuBisCo and is added to a biomass host where it is stable for homologous recombination. Plastid and nucleus integration was observed. Example RbcL sequences are disclosed with the desirable substitutions. The improved RuBisCo can be used as an improved proteinaceous food source for humans and animals.

The apparatus includes a curved mirror for projecting an image from a display unit on a windshield of a vehicle. The curved mirror has damping tape on its nonreflective side to absorb vibrational energy and shift the first natural frequency of the curved mirror to a higher frequency. The damping tape includes at least a viscoelastic adhesive layer and a constraining layer. The method for stabilizing the HUD includes applying damping tape selected and positioned to reduce vibrational amplitude and shift the first natural frequency of the curved mirror to a higher frequency.

  • Patent number: 11483243
Abstract: Modern day user applications leverages new communication technologies such as WebRTC, WebEx, and Jabber allow devices to connect and exchange media content including audio streams, video streams, and data stream/channels. The present disclosure describes mechanisms for a Port Control Protocol (PCP) server to provide feedback to PCP clients to enforce certain policies on the transport of such media content for a network. A policy may include a traffic handling policy for enforcing differentiated quality of service characteristics for different types of media streams. Another policy may include a security policy ensuring a data files being transmitted over a data channel from one endpoint travels to a security application via a relay element before the packets reaches another endpoint. The mechanisms are transparent to the endpoints, and advantageously preserve the user experience for these user applications.

  • Publication number: 20220317896
Abstract: Systems and methods for making a cross-site storage solution resilient towards mediator unavailability are provided. According to one embodiment, a stretched storage system is operable to bring a mediator associated with a primary and secondary distributed storage system back into the role of an arbitrator for peered consistency groups (CGs). A mediator reseed status indicator is maintained for multiple CGs to identify when the mediator's status information for a CG is stale. When the mediator becomes available and a local CG is identified as the subject of a mediator reseed process, the master node of the primary that hosts a master copy of a dataset for the local CG performs the reseed process, including: (i) causing relationship status information for the local CG to be updated on the mediator to the current state maintained by the primary; and (ii) resetting the mediator reseed status indicator.

  • Publication number: 20220269580
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatic validation of software components comparing source code and feature documentation are provided herein. An exemplary method includes assessing functional validation of software components by comparing the claimed features of software components against the features extracted from their source code. To prevent the issue of having to try unverified software components the present disclosure provides a solution that uses machine learning to extract claimed features of a software component and its actual features that are implemented in its source code. Then, for evaluating the software components, the disclosed solution compares the claimed features of software components against the features extracted from their source code to give a validated score to the developer so that the developer can easily decide on choosing the validated software.
