A region of interest may be defined as including nucleus pulposus (NP) and annulus fibrosus (AF) areas, and excluding cartilaginous endplate (EP) areas of a disc. A decay variance for a pixel or groups of pixels is calculated by determining ratios between consecutive intensity values of the T2 signal, determining differences between consecutive ratios, and summing the absolute values of the determined differences. Decay variance mapping may be used to diagnose degeneracy in other tissues, such as in joints.

The description includes a combination of public data and encrypted private data based on a first encryption key. The network device forwards the description to a trusted execution environment (TEE) instance for decryption of the encrypted private data, processing of the private data, and re-encryption of the private data with a second encryption key. The network device receives the re-encrypted private data from the TEE instance and assembles the re-encrypted private data and the public data into a query response for presentation on the end device. The network device sends, to the end device, the query response including the re-encrypted private data and the public data.

As a result, the vesicular delivery vehicles more readily fuse with the endosomal membranes, leading to enhanced endosomal escape of the vesicular delivery vehicle and its contents, thereby facilitating the delivery of the biologically active molecules and materials incorporated within the vesicular delivery vehicles to their sites of action.
