  • Publication number: 20140108769
Abstract: A processor fetches a multi-register scatter instruction that includes a source operand and a destination operand. The source operand specifies a source vector register that includes multiple source data elements. The destination operand identifies multiple destination data elements that each specify a destination vector register and an index into that destination vector register. The instruction is decoded and executed, causing, for each of those identified destination data elements, the one of the source data elements that is in a position in the source vector register that corresponds with a position of that destination data element to be stored in the destination vector register at the index specified by that destination data element.

  • Publication number: 20140106145
Abstract: A tableware item molded from a plastic material, such as polystyrene has a metallic coating applied to at least one surface by a sputtering deposition process. The sputtered coating is suitable for food contact without an overcoat, and imparts the appearance of a metal tableware item. In embodiments, the tableware item is a cup, a plate, a bowl, a tray, a lid, a glass, a champagne flute, a goblet, a napkin ring, a candle holder, or a centerpiece receptacle. The metallic coating can be silver, steel, stainless steel, chromium, aluminum, copper, or gold. In some embodiments, the metallic coating is not applied to all surfaces of the tableware item. In various embodiments, the tableware article is molded from a clear polystyrene resin and coated with a thin stainless steel layer on only one side. The abrasion resistance of the metallic coating can be enhanced by applying a clear protective overcoat.

  • Publication number: 20140108249
Abstract: A method and system provide interoperable electronic financial services using mobile communications devices and without the need for traditional banking systems like plastic cards, POS machines, branches and ATMs. A consumer can deposit and/or withdraw money from his account using his mobile device and with the help of a local agent without ever stepping inside a branch of a bank where the consumer has an account. The system uses the consumers ID and his mobile number to generate a PAN for the consumer, which is then used to route the transactions. The system uses indicators in the transaction to identify transaction purpose and thus enable appropriate interchange, clearing and settlement between participating entities. The system provides real-time feedback on the transactions and reduces costs by enabling an agent to service consumers of multiple banks and payment service providers.

  • Patent number: 8700531
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to a single transaction account identifier that can be used for in transactions with one of multiple transaction accounts. The method includes one or more of the following steps: establishing at least two transaction accounts, wherein the transaction accounts are respectively associated with transaction account identifiers; receiving, at a transaction processing system, a common account identifier; recognizing the common account identifier as being associated with more than one account; and determining, which of the at least two transaction accounts to access for processing the transaction. The determining step may be based on selection criteria and the selection criteria may be modified by a user. One of the first and second transaction account identifiers may be forwarded to the respective first and second transaction accounts based on the determining step; and the transaction may be processed via the selected transaction account.

  • Patent number: 8700722
Abstract: The disclosed technology covers messaging systems and methods, and computer program products embodying such systems and methods. An example computer-implemented method may include receiving, at a message server, a plurality of messages directed toward a plurality of computing devices, the plurality of messages including a first message directed toward a first user profile. A first computing device may be identified as being associated with the first user profile. It may be determined, by a computer processor, that the first user profile is inactive on the first computing device and that a second user profile is active on the first computing device. In that case, the first message may be held at the message server due to the first user profile being inactive. Other implementations of the messaging systems and methods are also disclosed herein.

  • Patent number: 8695604
Abstract: Contraceptive methods, systems, and devices generally improve the ease, speed, and reliability with which a contraceptive device can be deployed transcervically into an ostium of a fallopian tube. The contraceptive device may remain in a small profile configuration while a sheath is withdrawn proximally, and is thereafter expanded to a large profile configuration engaging the surrounding tissues, by manipulating one or more actuators of a proximal handle with a single hand. This leaves the other hand free to manipulate a hysteroscope, minimizing the number of health care professional required to deploy the contraceptive device.

  • Patent number: 8694274
Abstract: In summary, the invention relates to a device, a system, a method and a computer program for spectrum sensing. A detection procedure for detecting a signal of interest or an event by using a plurality of sensing devices capable of communicating with a central unit is proposed. The sensing devices can compute soft detection metrics and communicate this information to a central unit, where the information may be used to make a final detection decision using a certain specified rule. The signaling overhead of the proposed approach can be of the same order as that of a hard signaling approach. However, the proposed approach may achieve a better detection performance.
