  • Publication number: 20240222113
Abstract: Integrated circuit (IC) structures comprising transistors with metal chalcogenide channel material synthesized on a workpiece comprising a Group IV crystal. Prior to synthesis of the metal chalcogenide material, a passivation material is formed over the Group IV crystal to limit exposure of the substrate to the growth precursor gas(es) and thereby reduce a quantity of chalcogen species subsequently degassed from the workpiece. The passivation material may be applied to the front side, back side, and/or edge of a workpiece. The passivation material may be sacrificial or retained as a permanent feature of an IC structure. The passivation material may be advantageously amorphous and/or a compound comprising at least one of a metal or nitrogen that is good diffusion barrier and thermally stable at the metal chalcogenide synthesis temperatures.

  • Publication number: 20240219512
Abstract: A radar system includes a transmitter, a receiver, a processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium storing machine instructions. The machine instructions cause the processor to obtain an indication of an approaching object, perform radar sensing of a region of interest to obtain environmental information, and transmit the environmental information for the region of interest to a communication system of the approaching object. In some implementations, the processor obtains the indication of the approaching object by receiving, from the communication system of the approaching object, a request for the environmental information for the region of interest. In some implementations, the processor obtains the indication of the approaching object by determining a location of the approaching object relative to the region of interest, and the radar system transmits the environmental information in response to the location of the approaching object being within a threshold distance of the region of interest.

  • Publication number: 20240214563
Abstract: A device for upscale filtering video data includes one or more processors configured to generate a number of upscaled pixels that is an integer multiple of one half of a size of a filter used to upscale filter the video data. The device may then store the remaining pixels to be used to upscale filter a subsequent, right-neighboring block. In this manner, the device may avoid generating upscaled pixels that will result in being unaligned with the block and that may not be output due to being unaligned.

  • Publication number: 20240211647
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for simulating operation of an autonomous vehicle control system. Three dimensional multi-sensor data associated with a plurality of real-world drives in a sensor equipped vehicle is accessed. For a particular drive, the three dimensional multi-sensor data is reduced to a time series of two dimensional representations. The time series of two dimensional representations is classified into a sequence of states, where the sequence of states associated with the particular drive and the three dimensional multi-sensor data are stored in a computer-readable medium as a scenario. A query is received that identifies a state criteria, and the scenario is accessed based on the sequence of states matching the state criteria of the query. The three dimensional multi-sensor data of the scenario is provided to an autonomous driving system to simulate behavior of the autonomous driving system when faced with the scenario.

  • Publication number: 20240211023
Abstract: An apparatus and method for efficiently managing power consumption among multiple, replicated functional blocks of an integrated circuit. An integrated circuit includes multiple, replicated functional blocks that use separate power domains. Data of a given type is stored in an interleaved manner among at least two of the multiple functional blocks. In one implementation, a prior static allocation determines that only a subset of the functional blocks store the data of the given type. In another implementation, each of the functional blocks stores the data of the given type, and when an idle state has occurred, data of the given type is moved between the multiple functional blocks until one or more functional blocks no longer store data of the given type. When a transition to the idle state has occurred, the functional blocks that do not store the data of the given type are transitioned to a sleep state.
