  • Publication number: 20130241134
Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a sheet feeding device that corrects skew of a sheet before feeding the sheet to a transfer position for image formation. The sheet feeding device comprises a driver, a feeder roller unit provided with a feeder roller rotationally driven by the driver and a separation roller, and two resist roller units each provided with a primary and a secondary resist roller. The resist roller units cause formation of a loop in the sheet between the resist roller units and the feeder roller unit during skew correction. When viewed in a direction of a rotational axis of the feeder roller, the first resist rollers and the feeder roller overlap at least partially, and the pressing member and the second resist rollers do not overlap. The first resist rollers and the feeder roller occupy different positions with respect to the direction of the rotational axis.

  • Patent number: 8077389
Abstract: A glass polarizer applicable to projection-type liquid crystal displays and the like and having an excellent transmittance and extinction ratio with respect to light in the visible light region (500 nm to 600 nm) using silver halide containing glass as a starting material is provided. A glass polarizer for visible light according to the present invention is a polarizer manufactured by heating and stretching borosilicate glass in which silver halide particles are dispersed and deposited by heat treatment and reducing at least a portion of silver halide particles oriented and stretched in the glass to produce metallic silver particles. An average transmittance (T? % 500 to 600 nm) in a wavelength range of 500 nm to 600 nm of light having a polarization plane perpendicular to a longitudinal direction of metallic silver particles having shape anisotropy that is uniaxially oriented and dispersed is 75% or more and an extinction ratio in the wavelength range is 25 dB or more.

  • Publication number: 20100258157
Abstract: A watertight connection includes a male side and female side pair of terminal fittings. Each of the terminal fittings is mounted to an end part of an electrical line. Plug housings having male side and female side terminal fittings of two poles are correspondingly mounted, male side-to-male side and female side-to-female side. Insulation members each house a rear end part of a plug housing and an end part of an electrical lines. A sealing material member prevents moisture from penetrating into the insulation member. Openings, which expose the front end part of each plug housing outside of the insulation member, are formed in an inner wall surface of the insulation member. An outer circumferential surface of the rear end part of each of the plug housings is brought into close contact with the sealing material member to couple the plug housings and the insulation member in a watertight state.
