  • Publication number: 20150130982
Abstract: An image of subject formed optically is obtained by the finder unit. The subject is imaged electronically by an image sensing device, and a video signal, which represents an image within an autofocus target area inside the image of the subject of the subject obtained, is read out of the image sensing device. The image represented by the video signal is displayed on the display screen of a liquid crystal device which constitutes an electronic viewfinder. Looking through the finder unit, a user sees an image obtained by superimposing the image, which is displayed on the display screen, upon the optical image of the subject. If correct focusing is achieved, the optical image of the subject and the image coincide. Since a video representing a portion of the image of the subject is read out of the image sensing device, the image is displayed without delay.

  • Publication number: 20150130955
Abstract: An optical image of the subject is obtained by the finder unit. An image of the subject obtained by imaging is displayed on the display screen of an optical viewfinder. Looking through the finder unit, the user can see an image obtained by superimposing the image of the subject, which is displayed on the display screen of the electronic viewfinder, upon the optical image of the subject. The two images of the subject coincide when the subject is in focus and do not coincide when the subject is not in focus. The user can bring the subject into focus while looking through the finder unit to ascertain the degree of offset between the images of the subject. In cases such as excessive camera shake, the subject appears blurry. In response, the display of the image of the subject upon the display screen of the electronic viewfinder is halted.

  • Publication number: 20150124131
Abstract: The image in an electronic viewfinder is made larger than the image in an optical viewfinder. Specifically, a finder unit is provided with a region that displays a portion of the display screen of an electronic viewfinder alongside a region that displays the optical image of a subject. When the camera has been set to an optical/electronic hybrid viewfinder, the optically formed optical image of a subject is displayed in the region and a portion of the image of the subject captured by a solid-state electronic image sensing device is displayed in the region. When the camera has been set to the electronic viewfinder, a landscape-oriented image of the subject captured by the solid-state electronic image sensing device is displayed across both of the regions.

  • Publication number: 20150116560
Abstract: An image of a subject formed optically by a objective lens (concave lens) and an eyepiece lens can be seen by a pupil. A light shielding plate is provided in front of part of the objective lens and a shielded region is formed by the light shielding plate. When the image of a subject is captured on a portion of the display screen of an electronic viewfinder, the image of the subject is reflected by a prism and can be seen superimposed upon the shielded region. If the pupil moves away from the optical axis of the virtual finder unit, the extent of the shielded region also shifts. In order to solve this problem, the light shielding plate is moved in accordance with the position of the pupil so that the extent of the shielded region is rendered constant despite movement of the pupil.

  • Patent number: 9019416
Abstract: The present invention provides a display device which has a display unit on a main body, comprising a cover member that can be deformed into a first shape for covering the display unit and a second shape for forming a grip in order to solve the problems in the conventional cameras. The problem is such that the size of the camera becomes large by the size of the grip, which impairs portability of the camera because the conventional camera provides a fixed grip on the camera body on which a display unit with a large screen is mounted. In addition, another conventional camera has a space for accommodating the cover members within the grip, so that the size of the grip becomes accordingly large and thus the camera itself becomes large.

  • Publication number: 20150109467
Abstract: It is arranged so that a camera user can recognize presence of camera shake in a case where the user is looking at a subject through an optical viewfinder. A portion of the image of a subject captured by a solid-state electronic image sensing device is displayed in an electronic viewfinder constituted by a liquid crystal display unit. An image of a subject optically formed via an objective window of the optical viewfinder and the portion of the image of the subject displayed in the electronic viewfinder are superimposed. If camera shake is taking place, the portion of the image of the subject in the superimposed images will appear blurry. By viewing this portion of the image of the subject, therefore, the user can tell whether camera shake is taking place.

  • Publication number: 20150103217
Abstract: It is arranged so that the user of a camera will not experience a sense of incongruity when the camera is switched between an optical viewfinder and an electronic viewfinder. When the electronic viewfinder function is set, the image of a subject captured by a solid-state electronic image sensing device is displayed on the display screen of a liquid crystal device and a viewfinder shutter closes. When the optical viewfinder function is set, the viewfinder shutter opens and the image of the subject is not displayed on the liquid crystal device. At the time of a changeover between the electronic viewfinder function and the electronic viewfinder function, the image of the subject being displayed on the liquid crystal device gradually vanishes, or the image of the subject is gradually displayed on the liquid crystal device, while the opening and closing of the viewfinder shutter is tracked. Sudden darkening and sudden brightening at the time of the viewfinder changeover is prevented.

  • Publication number: 20150092283
Abstract: An appropriate operation angle (actuation angle) corresponding to a use is obtained by a relatively simple structure. A focus ring 20 is mounted around a focus cam 10. When the focus ring 20 is moved to a front end side, a gear formed in the focus ring 20 meshes with a gear 17 of the focus cam 10 and the rotation of the focus ring 20 is directly transmitted to the focus cam 10. When the focus ring 20 is moved to a rear end side, the gear formed in the focus ring 20 meshes with pinions 15 mounted on the focus cam 10 and the rotation of the focus ring 20 is directly transmitted to the focus cam 10 through the pinions 15. A half of the rotation angle of the focus ring 20 is the same as the rotation angle of the focus cam 10.

  • Publication number: 20150009311
Abstract: Plural predetermined examination parts of a patient are imaged sequentially and still images of the respective examination parts are thereby acquired by inserting an endoscope insertion unit having an imaging optical system in its tip portion into the body cavity of the patient. To this end, the number of still images taken is counted every time one of the predetermined examination parts. The counted number of still images taken is compared with a preset number of images which corresponds to the number of the plural predetermined examination parts. An alert is generated when non-coincidence is detected between the counted number of still images taken and the preset number. The operator is thus notified of occurrence of a failure to image.
