  • Publication number: 20140300793
Abstract: A digital camera is provided with a vertically long camera body having an approximately rectangular solid shape. An LCD panel provided in a rear surface of the camera body is arranged such that longitudinal directions of the display screen and the camera body correspond to each other. The digital camera is operated through a touch panel provided in a lower portion of the display screen. In a taking mode, an image is displayed in a small size on an upper portion of the display screen. In reproducing, the camera body is rotated sideways by 90 degree. In a reproducing mode, display posture of the image is also rotated by 90 degree, and the image is displayed in a large size on the entire display screen.

  • Publication number: 20140268375
Abstract: An outer tube body of a device for changing operating force is connected to a gear part of a zoom ring of a lens barrel to rotate the outer tube body together with the zoom ring. The outer tube body has a cylindrical shape and includes a hollow part into which an inner tube body whose rotation is restricted is arranged. Grease is interposed in a gap is formed between an inner peripheral surface of the outer tube body and an outer peripheral surface of the inner tube body. A load caused by viscosity resistance of the grease is applied against rotation of the outer tube body together with the zoom ring. The inner tube body can be displaced in a direction of the center axis so that area of a sliding contact region between the outer tube body and the inner tube body is changed.

  • Patent number: 8814448
Abstract: Even if a plurality of CPU boards are installed, removal of the boards is facilitated. A plurality of CPU boards are disposed on the inner side of the left side face of a photographing lens device cover, which has an opening and the shape of a hollow rectangular parallelepiped. When a lens device body is accommodated inside the photographing lens device cover, connectors formed on the photographing lens device cover are connected to respective ones of connectors formed on the lens device body. Communication between the CPU boards and the lens device body becomes possible. Since the CPU boards are disposed on the cover and not on the lens device body, the boards can be removed without disassembling the lens device body.

  • Patent number: 8804023
Abstract: The present invention provides a display device which has a display unit on a main body, comprising a cover member that can be deformed into a first shape for covering the display unit and a second shape for forming a grip in order to solve the problems in the conventional cameras. The problem is such that the size of the camera becomes large by the size of the grip, which impairs portability of the camera because the conventional camera provides a fixed grip on the camera body on which a display unit with a large screen is mounted. In addition, another conventional camera has a space for accommodating the cover members within the grip, so that the size of the grip becomes accordingly large and thus the camera itself becomes large.

  • Patent number: 8782506
Abstract: A required number of images for creating an album are compensated using existing still images, and an album with a fine appearance is created by effectively using a small number of available still images (still images in stock). A value N, which is obtained by subtracting the total number of selected images from the total number of images that a template of a photo album requires (the total number of combination frames), is determined as the minimum number of shortfall images that are required for compensating the shortage of images. An image (original image for creation) appropriate for the original, from which images for compensating the shortage of images are created, is selected from among selected images. New images are created by applying a predetermined image processing to the selected original image for creation, until the minimum number N of shortfall images is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20140184886
Abstract: A television lens apparatus in which circuit boards can be easily mounted or dismounted and can be easily wired is provided. A lens barrel is contained in a housing. A housing opening is formed in the lens barrel to be opened and closed with a rotatable lid. A board holding device is fixed on a rear portion of the lens barrel. In the board holding device, four connectors are mounted on a wiring board and arranged in an axial direction of the lens barrel. Four circuit boards are inserted in the connectors through the housing opening in a direction perpendicular to the lens barrel.

  • Publication number: 20140139691
Abstract: Collision of communication data on a network line is prevented. A plurality of CPU boards which are independent of one another and have respective ones of CPUs mounted thereon are connected by a network line. Since data collision will occur when multiple streams of control data are transmitted on the network line, the order of priority of camera control is decided. If a zoom lens is shifted toward telephoto and, moreover, the aperture of an iris is shifted toward the open side, the order of priority of focusing lens control is raised. If a zoom lens is shifted toward wide angle and, moreover, the aperture of the iris is shifted toward the closed side, the order of priority of focusing lens control is lowered. Since camera control is carried out in accordance with the order of priority, collision of data on the network line is avoided.

  • Patent number: 8711279
Abstract: A monitor with a large screen is provided at the back of the camera. In the recording mode, a preview image or a captured image is displayed in a part of the monitor where there is little possibility of being covered by the hand of the operator. In the reproducing mode, a reproduced image is displayed on substantially the entire screen of the monitor. A touch panel is provided over the monitor, and operation buttons such as a zoom operation button and an exposure correcting button are displayed on a part of the monitor where no image is displayed in the recording mode. Therefore, the part of the monitor can also be used as a camera operational part.

  • Patent number: 8687876
Abstract: It is arranged so that stereoscopic images will not overlap one another. A stereoscopic image to be pasted in a free-layout electronic album is selected. The amount of parallax of the stereoscopic image to be pasted in this electronic album is set. When this is done, the selected stereoscopic image is enlarged or reduced in size so as to take on the set amount of parallax. Automatic layout for pasting enlarged or reduced stereoscopic images on each page of the electronic album in such a manner that these stereoscopic images will not overlap one another is carried out. The result of the layout is displayed.

  • Patent number: 8650472
Abstract: A size of a region to be allocated to an image layout date is bigger than a size of a region to be allocated to a date other than the image layout date (image-not-layout date). An image to be allocated to the image layout date is enlarged so that a size of the image matches a size of an allocation region allocated to the image layout date, and the enlarged images is laid. Characters indicating the dates are arranged to regions allocated to previous dates, the image layout date, and following dates. Accordingly, a calendar with an attractive appearance can be generated by altering the layout of the dates and information to be output, even if a user has taken photographs on not so many days in the unit such as a month or a week.

  • Patent number: 8644594
Abstract: Even when the size of a three-dimensional image is changed, the pop-out amount is automatically adjusted to one intended by the user. The pop-out amount is adjusted based on a conversion characteristic defining a relationship between the size and the pop-out amount of a three-dimensional image as the size of the three-dimensional image is changed, and therefore the pop-out amount of the three-dimensional image can be automatically adjusted to a given pop-out amount preferred by the user or intended by the user.
