  • Patent number: 7930466
Abstract: A storage terminal includes a storage unit, a communication unit, and a controlling unit. The storage unit stores first information and second information. The first information is information that is displayed according to a procedure defined in an Internet browser program. The second information is information that is output according to a procedure defined in a program different from the Internet browser program. The communication unit carries out communications with an information processing apparatus on which the Internet browser program is executed. The controlling unit executes processing according to a request received from the information processing apparatus, by executing an Internet server program. The first information is transmitted according to a communication standard for communications by the storage terminal, and the second information is read and transmitted according to a read/write standard for reading and/or writing to the storage unit.

  • Patent number: 7706014
Abstract: A printing device enables a laid-out and drawn image to be printed without any subsequent rotation. In the presence of an orientation change command, the printing device receives a layout command and determines a layout of each object in each page on the medium with conversion of coordinates at a preset position of the object. In the presence of the orientation change command, the printing device receives a print command, fetches an object according to the stored layout in each page, and draws and prints the fetched object in response to the orientation change command. No subsequent orientation change of drawing data, which has been laid out and drawn in the specified page orientation, is required to generate converted drawing data corresponding to the specified medium orientation.

  • Publication number: 20060092454
Abstract: Every time a specified URL is given, an analyzer unit 30 stores the specified URL into a URL storage buffer area of a memory 50, whether or not an XHTML document is being currently analyzed. When any URL is present in the URL storage buffer area of the memory 50, the analyzer unit 30 successively reads and analyzes an XHTML document identified by the specified URL to create a DOM tree, and stores the DOM tree into a DOM tree storage area of the memory 50, whether or not a layouter 38 is currently making a layout.

  • Publication number: 20060092447
Abstract: When a page size extracted from a style object created by analysis of a CSS document is greater than a paper size set in a printer, the technique of the invention updates the page size to the paper size, limits the size of the style object to a maximum allowable size of an element set according to the paper size, and lays out and prints elements based on the updated page size and the limited size of the style object. This arrangement desirably prevents potential troubles due to the greater page size than the printing size, for example, failed printing of part of the elements to be printed.
