  • Patent number: 7839362
Abstract: A self-luminous apparatus is disclosed wherein a deterioration amount difference between different pixels can be eliminated accurately to correct a sticking phenomenon while the self-luminous apparatus is used. In the self-luminous apparatus, a deterioration amount difference appearing between a correction object pixel and a reference pixel within a first light emission period of time is calculated first using a deterioration ratio derived from gradation values of the pixels. Then, a deterioration ratio for correction for the correction object pixel necessary to eliminate the calculated deterioration amount difference within a second light emission period of time is derived using a deterioration ratio of the reference pixel. Thereafter, the derived deterioration ratio for correction is converted into a corresponding gradation value, and the correction object pixel is driven to emit light with the converted gradation value.

  • Publication number: 20100182332
Abstract: When an arbitrary position and an arbitrary size on a display screen are specified as an emphasized display region so as to be interlocked with a display content of an application program, only for another region part excluding the emphasized display region, power consumed by the region part is aggressively reduced and simultaneously image quality is aggressively lowered as compared with the emphasized display region. Thereby, visibility and reduction in power consumption can be surely made compatible with each other.

  • Publication number: 20090153537
Abstract: The prior art power consumption control techniques convert the video signal (gray level) in one way or another based on the estimated power consumption level. The present invention proposes a power consumption controller which includes (a) a power consumption calculation section which sequentially calculates the power consumption level of a self-luminous display device based on a video signal input from the beginning of each frame up to the time of calculation, (b) a power consumption status determination section which determines whether the calculated power consumption level exceeds a reference value for comparison by constantly comparing the two levels. If this is the case, the same section detects the timing at which the power consumption exceeds the reference value for comparison and (c) a peak brightness control section which controls the peak brightness of the self-luminous display device if the power consumption level exceeds the reference value for comparison based on the detected timing.

  • Publication number: 20080287236
Abstract: A pulley in which screw holes can have a sufficient axial-direction length without thickening a projecting part. The pulley comprises a pulley main body (10) and flat members (20) fixed thereto, the flat members (20) having screw holes (20c) formed therein. Consequently, there is no need of forming screw holes in the pulley main body (10) and, hence, the screw holes (20c) can have a sufficient axial-direction length without the need of thickening the projecting part (12). Namely, a weight reduction can be attained by thinning the projecting part (12) and a reduction in production cost can be attained by the weight reduction.

  • Patent number: 7429060
Abstract: A telescopic shaft for steering of a vehicle is assembled in a steering shaft and includes a male shaft and a female shaft that are so fitted as not to be rotatable but to be slidable. Rolling members are fitted through an elastic body for pre-load between at least a pair of axially-extending grooves formed in an outer peripheral surface of the male shaft and in an inner peripheral surface of the female shaft. A slide member is fitted in between at least another pair of axially-extending grooves formed in the outer peripheral surface of the male shaft and in the inner peripheral surface of the female shaft. When a steering toque is equal to or smaller than a predetermined level, the elastic body for the pre-load exhibits a low rigidity characteristic as the elastic body performs pre-load action. When the steering torque is equal to or larger than the predetermined level, the slide member exhibits a high rigidity characteristic as the slide member engages with the pair of axially extending grooves.
