  • Publication number: 20050143018
Abstract: A communication resource management device changes the transfer rate of a first control channel related to a first mobile terminal according to a communication condition. The device determines whether there is a frequency band for which it is not determined whether the frequency band is to be used in a predetermined time period based on a current transfer rate of a second control channel related to a second mobile terminal and an amount of data to be transmitted in the second control channel; and allocates, to the first mobile terminal, at least a part of the frequency band for the second control channel with respect to the second mobile terminal in a predetermined period of time. The device changes the transfer rate in the first control channel while maintaining the total frequency band for plural control channels related to plural mobile terminals at a constant value.

  • Publication number: 20050130690
Abstract: In transmission power control in a CDMA mobile communication system which controls the uplink transmission power of a mobile station so as to obtain a target SIR, and also controls the target SIR based on the quality of the transmission path, when one mobile station transmits and receives the same data simultaneously with a plurality of base stations, the quality of each transmission path is monitored. The data received over the transmission path with the best quality is selected, and for each transmission path the selectivity of data sent over the transmission path is calculated, the target SIR is updated based on the data quality after data selection, and for each transmission-path the target SIR after updating is multiplied by the selectivity for each transmission path to obtain the actual target SIR for the transmission path.

  • Patent number: 6619966
Abstract: A PC card has a plastic frame provided along the periphery of a substrate. Metal plates, such as stainless steel plates and the like, cover both surfaces of the substrate and are attached to the plastic frame. External surfaces of the metal plates located in an area on the opposite side of a connector and which are touched by a person's hand are covered by an insulation tape, so that, even if a person charged with static electricity touches the PC card when the PC card is inserted or withdrawn from an external apparatus such as a personal computer (PC), the static electricity (charge) of the person does not flow into the external apparatus. Thus, malfunctions or erroneous operations of the external apparatus do not occur.
