  • Publication number: 20030012523
Abstract: An optical module for reducing the variance of grating spacing in an optical fiber comprises an optical fiber receiving portion having an optical fiber receiving portion and optical fiber securing portions for receiving and securing the optical fiber to the optical module, respectively. An adhesive agent containing filler and having an excellent water-vapor resistance is applied to the securing portions of the optical module for securing the fiber grating portion of the optical fiber to the optical module.

  • Publication number: 20030007751
Abstract: A temperature-compensated optical fiber component for use in high-density WDM optical communication includes an optical fiber which has a Bragg grating serving as a monochromatic filter, an inner package which supports the optical fiber and causes the Bragg grating to have a temperature-compensating capability, and an outer package arranged outside the inner package. A clearance having a heat insulating function is provided between the outer package and the inner package.

  • Publication number: 20020001982
Abstract: A PC card has a plastic frame 8 provided along the periphery of a substrate 4. Metal plates 2 such as stainless steel plates and the like cover both surfaces of the substrate and are attached to the plastic frame 8. External surfaces of the metal plates 2 in an area on the opposite side of a connector 1 which are touched by a person's hand are covered by an insulation tape 7, so that, even if a person charged with static electricity touches the PC card when the PC card is inserted or withdrawn from an external apparatus such as a personal computer (PC), the static electricity (charge) of the person does not flow into the external apparatus. Thus, malfunctions or erroneous operations of the external apparatus do not occur.

  • Publication number: 20010043625
Abstract: A base station for a first service network and a base station for a second service network are provided within a station building, and are connected to common transmission path and transmitter through a line concentrator. A base station control unit for the first service network and a base station control unit for the second service network are provided within another station building. The base station control units are connected to each other through a single line multiplexer/demultiplexer and an STM line terminating set and an STM line terminating set, and a transmitter is connected to the line multiplexer/demultiplexer through an STM line terminating set. This construction can realize transmission line sharing method and system for service networks different from each other in a system, wherein the cost at the time of the provision of a new service can be reduced through sharing of the transmission system.

  • Patent number: 4967212
Abstract: An image recorder capable of recording an image by a predetermined line width with no regard to the operating conditions and ambient conditions by causing the line width of an image into coincidence with a predetermined referece line width. A driver controllably drives an exposing device in response to optical data. A line width sensor means the line width of a visible image developed by a developing device. Control means controls, in response to the line width sensed by the sensor, the driver such that the line width coincides with a predetermined reference line width, and corrects the controllable drive of the exposing device by the driver.

  • Patent number: 4755847
Abstract: An electrostatic latent image developing apparatus supplies toner to a latent image carrier such as a drum-shaped photosensitive body to visualize a latent image formed thereon. The toner is supplied by a rotating drum-shaped toner carrier having a portion confronting the photosensitive body adjacent thereto and another portion held in contact with toner contained in a toner container. The toner is electrostatically attracted to the toner carrier and transferred therefrom to the photosensitive body. The toner on the toner carrier is regulated into a thin toner layer by a toner layer regulating member that is resiliently held in sliding contact with the toner carrier. To prevent toner deposits from being attached to the toner layer regulating member, the toner layer regulating member is made of a material adapted to wear with the attached toner.
