  • Patent number: 9308766
Abstract: Bookbinding apparatus adhesive applicator accurately, briefly controls adhesive temperature to a set value by selecting, in accordance with adhesive initial temperature, one of a plurality of temperature-controller heating modes defining different supply powers and supply durations for supplying power to an adhesive-container heater to control its heating temperature. A sensor detects the temperature of the adhesive in the container at applicator start-up, or on restarting a post-standby applicator. In accordance with the detected temperature, one of the heating modes is selected to heat the adhesive. The applicator warm-up time is thus set in response to the state of the adhesive: If solidified, the adhesive is heated and melted in a maximum supply-power, supply-duration mode; if low-temperature liquefied at, it is heated and melted in a second-magnitude supply-power, supply-duration mode; and if the adhesive temperature is high, it is heated and melted in a minimal supply-power, supply-duration mode.

  • Publication number: 20150224793
Abstract: An inkjet recording device is provided. Two rails are each provided on left and right sides of a printer head, and three LED modules are provided on inner rows In and one LED module is provided on outer rows of the rails. These LED modules can move on the rails in a sub scanning direction. At a position, the LED modules become adjacent in a main scanning direction, whereby a total quantity of light becomes “200”. At other positions, the quantity of light is “100”. In this invention, providing the LED modules movably on the outer rows enables to configure a curing section at an arbitrary position, so that a required quantity of light can be obtained, whereby the printing speed does is not decreased; and further, the number of the LED modules can be suppressed, and cost for an ultraviolet lamps of a carriage can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 8104765
Abstract: In a document feeder, a length of a discharge path from a reading position to a discharge position is longer than a length of a supply path from a feeding position to the reading position. An idling discharge position is disposed, where the distance with the discharge position through the discharge path is shorter than a distance between the feeding position and the reading speed switching position. A control device controls driving of registration rollers, conveyor rollers and discharge rollers simultaneously when a trailing edge of an original reaches the discharge idling position of the discharge path by the discharge rollers while the discharge rollers is stopped. The document feeder efficiently supplies originals sequentially to the reading position, stably reads the image of the original without discharging a previous original during a reading, and aligns and stores the originals in a discharge stacker.

  • Patent number: 8060901
Abstract: A terminal can play back song or video information in real time without downloading it, and thus restrictions on the hardware of the terminal are reduced and a large amount of music can be listened to anytime and anywhere. Also, the user can listen to music more cheaply than if it was downloaded, and copyright problems are reduced. Further, the terminal is charged based on the playback time or the amount of information. Accordingly, when the user stops playback because he or she does not like a song, the price is less than it is when the user listens to the song to the end, and thus the user can feel free to use this service.

  • Patent number: 7984898
Abstract: First document/image data is printed onto a sequence of sheets that includes sheets of a given size, and sheet(s) of a size that in at least one dimension is larger than the sheets of the given size. At the same time the first document/image data is being printed, second document/image data, i.e., foldout data, is printed onto the outer margin, i.e., a foldout portion, of the sheet(s) of the larger size. The larger-size, foldout sheet(s) is then folded so as to be creased near its overlap with the given-size sheets, and is collated into the sequence of the given-size sheets to form a bundle that is then bound. Thereafter trimming to size the non-bound edge(s) of the bundle slices away the crease in the foldout sheet, leaving the foldout cut-away as an insert tucked into the booklet.

The finger joint cutter is provided with a plurality of blade array groups 44a to 44d made of a plurality of cutting blades 14 aligned at a predetermined pitch L along a rotary shaft R to shave joint fingers by allowing the cutting blades 14 to cut into an end portion of a material to be cut at the same time. The cutting blades 14 are constituted from either a main blade 46 or an auxiliary blade 48. A rake face 50 of the main blade 46 is formed in an angle shape being tapered off towards an outer diameter. A width dimension l1 of a rake face 54 of the auxiliary blade 48 parallel to the rotary shaft R is set to be smaller than a width dimension l2 of the rake face 50 of the main blade 46 parallel to the rotary shaft R. The pitch L is set to be not less than the width dimension l2 of the main blade 46.
