Patent number: 5532682Abstract: A control data transmission system controls an electronic switching system with few signal lines. Control data are split into a plurality of fixed-length bit blocks. The control data sequence number specification signals identify the fixed-length bit blocks. The control data sequence number specification signals are paired with corresponding control data signals carrying the contents of one of the fixed-length bit blocks and a control data validity specification signal for validating transmission of the control data. The control data sequence number specification signals are decoded and the contents of respective bit blocks carried by the control data signals are stored according to the decoding result and the control data validity specification signal. When the contents of the fixed-length bit blocks carried by the control data signals for one unit of control data are stored, the control data are analyzed.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 1993Date of Patent: July 2, 1996Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Masami Murayama, Shuji Yoshimura, Tetsuo Kawamata, Atsushi Yoshioka

Patent number: 5528433Abstract: A video tape recorder enables a normal video signal for an aspect ratio of 4:3 or a wide-picture video signal for a greater aspect ratio of, for example, 16:9 to be selectively recorded/reproduced onto and from a magnetic tape. In order to identify which of the aspect ratios the reproduced video signal is based on, a recording mode signal indicative of the aspect ratio is recorded on the magnetic tape together with the video signal. A code signal or a pilot signal is used for the recording mode signal. In the reproducing operation, the aspect ratio of a reproduced picture is recognized from the recording mode signal, and a signal indicative of the aspect ratio is delivered to an external device, such as a television set, together with reproduced video/audio signals. In a case where the reproduced picture is a wide picture and where the external device does not conform to the wide picture, the aspect ratio of the video signal is changed.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 1991Date of Patent: June 18, 1996Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Shigeyuki Itoh, Atsushi Yoshioka, Iwao Aizawa, Michio Masuda

Patent number: 5305457Abstract: An initial program loading system in an information processing system containing a central processing unit and at least one peripheral apparatus connected to the central processing unit. The system transfers program data from the peripheral apparatus to the central processing unit. The system then loads the program data in the central processing unit, responding to an IPL request which is input into said initial program loading system. Each peripheral apparatus has a unit for sending a notification to the central processing unit that the peripheral apparatus is ready to transfer the program data to the central processing unit. After the central processing unit receives the notification, the transfer of the program data is carried out. The IPL request may be received in the central processing unit, or each peripheral apparatus. An IPL controller may be provided in the system.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 1993Date of Patent: April 19, 1994Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Masatoshi Takida, Satoru Kuwata, Atsushi Yoshioka, Yasuo Ogasawara
