  • Patent number: 6557288
Abstract: A government model semi-automatic handgun is disclosed. The handgun includes a frame having a rear end, a barrel having a tip, and a slide having a front side and a back side, and a grip safety having an outer surface. An outer surface of the hammer substantially aligns with the back side of the slide when the slide is in a forward position and the hammer is in a rest position. In addition, the length of the handgun as defined by between the barrel tip and the rear end of the frame may be greater than the length of the handgun as defined by the barrel tip and the outer surface of the grip safety.

  • Publication number: 20020104248
Abstract: A government model semi-automatic handgun is disclosed. The handgun includes a frame having a rear end, a barrel having a tip, and a slide having a front side and a back side. The slide is mounted on the frame for sliding movement between a forward position and a backward position. A hammer is mounted on the frame for pivoting movement between a rest position and a rearward position. A grip safety having an outer surface is disposed in the frame. The grip safety has a safe position where the grip safety prevents the hammer from moving. The outer surface of the hammer may be configured to substantially align with the back side of the slide when the slide is in the forward position and the hammer is in the rest position. In addition, the length of the handgun as defined by the barrel tip and the rear end of the frame may be greater than the length of the handgun as defined by the barrel tip and the outer surface of the grip safety.

  • Patent number: 6104798
Abstract: An automated order processing system for a telecommunications services carrier is capable of activating customer orders and provisioning telecommunications services for customers. The system includes a client application including a graphical user interface for receiving one or more customer orders from a remote location, each customer order having at least one unique identifier, the client application further up-front validating the format of customer orders received. A server application is provided for entering the validated customer orders in a database storage device, prior to initiating customer order activation and provisioning. In addition to controlling the order entry, activation, provisioning and installation processes, the server application tracks the status of each customer order by receiving status information updates for each customer order throughout the entry, activation, provisioning and installation process, and accordingly updates the database storage device.

  • Patent number: 4862618
Abstract: This kit is to convert a semi-automatic hand-gun, such as the Colt model 1911A1, into a hand-gun of increased round capacity from the original seven-round to thirteen round by replacing the conventional frame, magazine, magazine catch, grip covers, and trigger assembly by new similar parts, while still retaining the remaining parts of the hand-gun, including the slide, barrel, breech block, firing pin and hammer mechanism, manual safety catch and take-down latch.

  • Patent number: 4862805
Abstract: This cartridge includes a tubular casing with a firing pin member fixed within the casing intermediate its ends. A frangible projectile is frictionally and sealingly retained in the front compartment of the casing. A piston is located in the rear compartment and consists of a transverse wall exposed at the rear end of the casing, and of a forwardly-extending sleeve slidable within the rear compartment. A primer cap is located within the piston sleeve and has a transverse deformable wall abutting against a boss rearwardly projecting from the firing pin member. The latter includes passages communicating the rear and front compartments. When a plunger actuated by the firing arm pushes the piston forwardly, the firing boss deforms the primer cap transverse wall and cause detonation of the propellant charge. The propellant gases first move the piston rearwardly to uncover the firing cap housing, whereby the gases are expanded in the rear compartment before reaching behind the projectile in the front compartment.

  • Patent number: 4686905
Abstract: A cartridge with a frangible projectile, usable in an automatic or semi-automatic fire-arm, for instance a pistol, wherein the propellant gases are initially expanded to recoil the breech block and then further expanded to propel the frangible projectile without breaking the same until impact.
