The processor is configured, when executing the instructions, to receive a request to perform a first function of an application and a second function of the application and transmit the portion of the request to perform the first function to a remotely-located first common function module and the portion of the request to perform the second function to a remotely-located second common function module. The processor is further configured, when executing the instructions, to receive, in response to transmitting the respective portions of the request to the remotely-located common function modules, first information from the first common function module and second information from the second common function module, and aggregate, based on the received request, the received first information and second information.

A closure is provided for closing the first opening. The container also includes a retainer for retaining the injection device in the container in its post-use condition preventing access to the injection needle after the injection device has been used to administer an injection. Advantageously, the container of the subject invention provides not only a pre-use packaging for the injection device, but also a post-use sharps container for the injection device.

The medical injector also includes an axially-displaceable plunger; biasing element for advancing the plunger a predetermined distance; and, a releasable retainer for releasably retaining the plunger in a first state against the force of the biasing element. In an initial state, the axes of the first and second body portions are not aligned and the plunger is in the first state. In a coupled state, the axes of the first and second body portions are axially aligned, and the releasable retainer releases the plunger, thereby allowing the biasing element to advance the plunger the predetermined distance. Advantageously, the subject invention provides a medical injector having an automated plunger drive which is triggered upon assembly of the pen injector, thereby minimizing premature or failed activations.
