Abstract: A medical injector is provided herein having a body; a reservoir containing first and second mixable components; a stopper; a plunger disposed in the body; a spring disposed to advance the plunger; a first releasable retainer for releasably retaining the plunger in a first state against force of the spring; a first trigger for causing the first releasable retainer to release the plunger; a second releasable retainer for releasably retaining the plunger in a second state against force of the spring; and, a second trigger for causing the second releasable retainer to release the plunger. The spring causes the plunger to advance so that the stopper traverses at least a predetermined extent of advancement thereby causing mixing of the first and second mixable components. Advantageously, with the subject invention, a medical injector is provided which allows for autoreconstitution with subsequent dose setting and autoplunger activation being activated by separate triggers.

Abstract: A medical injector is provided herein having a body and a needle mounting surface movable relative to the body, the needle mounting surface having features for mounting a needle thereto. In an initial state, the needle mounting surface is disposed within the body with no needle mounted thereto. With relative movement between the body and the needle mounting surface, the needle mounting surface is urged out of the body. Advantageously, a medical injector is provided which ensures proper sequence in preparation of the device, particularly with respect to the step of allowing mounting of a medical needle to the device subsequent to preparation of the medicament to be administered.

Abstract: With the subject invention, a container for an injection device with an injection needle is provided. The container includes a body having a compartment formed therein to accommodate the injection device in both a pre-use and a post-use condition. The body defines a first opening through which the injection device in its pre-use condition may be accessed, and the body defines a second opening into which the injection device may be directed in its post-use condition. A closure is provided for closing the first opening. The container also includes a retainer proximate the second opening for retaining the injection device in the container in its post-use condition preventing access to the injection needle after the injection device has been used to administer an injection.

In an initial state, the axes of the first and second body portions are not aligned and the plunger is in the first state. In a coupled state, the axes of the first and second body portions are axially aligned, and the releasable retainer releases the plunger, thereby allowing the biasing element to advance the plunger the predetermined distance.

Abstract: Improved systems and methods for laser trimming resistors printed on a substrate layer are provided. An exemplary embodiment measures a resistance value for each annular resistor and sorts the annular resistors into one or more bins based on the measured resistance values and target resistance values associated with each resistor. A laser trim file may then be assigned to each bin based on a predictive trim formulation, where each laser trim file defines a set of configuration parameters for a laser drill to conform each resistor with their respective target value. The laser drill uses the laser trim files to trim the resistors within each bin in accordance with the laser trim file assigned to that bin.

Abstract: Improved systems and methods for laser trimming resistors are provided. An exemplary embodiment measures a resistance value for each resistor and sorts the resistors into one or more bins based on the measured resistance values and target resistance values associated with each resistor. Abstract: A method wherein contents of DVDs may be restricted based upon purchased certificates is provided. The certificates allow for secured information on playback. Specifically, whenever a DVD is to be played, a certificate is consulted to determine whether the content of the DVD should be played with or without commercial interruptions. If the certificates provide for commercial interruptions, then commercials can be obtained from an online service that renders commercials on demand, or from the DVD itself. In such a case, the content of the DVD may be interspersed with commercials.

Abstract: A filter medium for strainers used in the emergency sump of a nuclear power plant ECCS. The filter medium is employed with double wall, concentric tube type strainer modules. The filter medium is preferably constructed of a woven or knitted stainless steel wire material and is shaped in a cylinder so that it can be inserted between an external and an internal strainer of a double wall, concentric tube type strainer in such a manner that water that passes through the strainer must pass through and be filtered by the filter medium before the water can be pumped to the reactor core. The filter medium is inserted through the bottom of the strainer module and is held in place by an x-shaped retainer.
