Abstract: Techniques, devices, and systems to improve detection and security of a displayed image on a screen of a computer device, such as a device, including detection of an object in an environment, where the object has an inverse-colorspace relationship in relation to the colorspace of the environment. A system includes: a first camera device configured to determine a first underlying colorspace corresponding to an environment, a second camera device configured to determine a second underlying colorspace corresponding to either i) an actual change in the environment or ii) a predicted change in the environment, and a computer device configured to determine an inverse colorspace of at least one of i) the first underlying colorspace or ii) the second underlying colorspace and configured to detect an object in the environment based on the inverse colorspace determination.

Abstract: Techniques and apparatus for providing payment-based transmission processes are described. In one embodiment, for example, a network node may include a storage device, and logic, at least a portion of the logic implemented in circuitry coupled to the storage device. The logic may operate to provide a routing query to transmit information over a network, the routing query comprising at least one destination node for the information and a transmission value, receive at least one bid from at least one bidding node in response to the routing query, determine a path through the network to transmit the information anonymously based on the at least one bid that corresponds to the transmission value, and transmit the information at least partially anonymously via the path within a network packet encrypted in a number of layers of encryption corresponding to a number of intermediary nodes in the path. Abstract: In the disclosed transaction processing system, members of an authorized network of consumers and merchants manage account information using blockchain ledgers. Because both consumers and merchants maintain copies of the blockchain, for any consumer/merchant transaction, both entities can quickly validate the transaction because both are aware, via their blockchain entries, of the current status of the account sourcing the transaction, allowing fast and accurate transaction validation without the need to incur the processing charges inherent in traditional fiat currency credit transactions.

Abstract: Techniques to improve fraud detection for financial institutions maintaining a network of financial terminals. These techniques are applicable towards identifying instances of multiple account usage with at least one of the financial terminals. Example financial terminals known as Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) capture image data whenever a visitor initiates a financial service (and/or receives something of value) and leverage the techniques described herein to determine whether the visitor is engaged in multiple account usage. Such multiple account usage may occur when the visitor withdraws cash against two different accounts. These techniques are further applicable towards securing the two different accounts from misappropriation.

Abstract: Logic may adjust communications between customers. Logic may cluster customers into a first group associated with a first subset of synonyms and a second group associated with a second subset of the synonyms. Logic may associate a first tag with the first group and with each of the synonyms of the first subset. Logic may associate a second tag with the second group and with each of the synonyms of the second subset. Logic may associate one or more models with pairs of the groups. A first pair may comprise the first group and the second group. The first model associated with the first pair may adjust words in communications between the first group and the second group, based on the synonyms associated with the first pair, by replacement of words in a communication between customers of the first subset and customers of the second subset.

The matrix barcode may include a plurality of colors, where at least one of the plurality of colors is a least prevalent color, of a plurality of prevalent colors in the environment.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments may provide an approach to converting multidimensional color data for an image encoded in a first color space into an intermediate form that is a single dimensional value. The exemplary embodiments may then decode the intermediate form value to produce an encoding of the color data that is encoded in a second color space that differs from the first color space. In this manner, the data for the image may be efficiently converted from an encoding in the first color space into an encoding in the second color space.

Abstract: Various embodiments are generally directed to provide a semi-local authentication scheme. A server can transmit one or more encryption mechanisms to a user device, which in turn can transmit the encrypted mechanisms to one or more secondary devices associated with the user device, where the user device and the secondary devices share a local connection. The secondary devices can transmit the one or more encrypted mechanism utilizing one or more one or more decryption mechanisms supplied by the server, and then transmit the result of the decryption, e.g. decrypted codes, back to the user device, which in turn can then transmit a final decrypted code or codes to the server. Upon confirming receipt of the decryption from the user device, the server can authorize access (via the user device) to one or more devices, networks, applications, and/or components.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products to transmit, by a web browser to a web server, a hypertext transfer protocol request for a web page at a first uniform resource identifier (URI). The web browser may receive, from the web server via, the web page and metadata of a plurality of candidate advertisements, the plurality of candidate advertisements determined based on a master machine learning (ML) model. A client ML model executing in the web browser may process the received metadata, the client ML model trained based on prior interactions between one or more users of the web browser and a plurality of previously displayed advertisements. The client ML model may determine based on the processing, a first candidate advertisement of the plurality of candidate advertisements to display in the web browser with the received web page.

One or more methods, apparatuses, and articles of manufacture employ one or more color-channels, ultraviolet layers, infrared layers, and/or luminance layers to encode data on or along a physical medium, where the encoding includes utilizing one or more of those layers to encode an error-correcting code (ECC), such as a Hamming code with the data.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments pertain to new techniques for classifying or labeling organized data. A major impediment to implementing high-quality machine learning is the lack of readily accessible labeled data. In some cases, data can be classified using a classifier, but these solutions can be inaccurate and slow. Exemplary embodiments address the problem of obtaining accurate labeled data in a timely manner by applying a classifier configured to operate on character-level embeddings. Among other advantages, this can help the classifier to recognize information contained within a data unit, such as a cell of a table. The classifier may operate within the organizational structure of the data, such as by operating across a particular row or column of a table. Because data within a particular row or column is often temporally organized (e.g., transactions that are logged in chronological order), row- or column-based approaches can yield more accurate results.

Abstract: Techniques to transmit encoded data along a transmission medium and decode the transmitted data along the transmission medium are provided. Some techniques include logic to encode data transmitted along a transmission medium, such as a fiberoptic line or cable, where the encoding is pursuant to a conversion between a first and second colorspace. The logic may further be configured to decode the data once it is received at a node along the fiberoptic line, where the colorspace conversion provides the basis, key, or cipher for preforming the decoding operation. The logic may be further configured to alter the encryption and decryption basis, key, or cypher by altering the colorspace scheme defining the encoding (and by extension the decoding) during transmission, including a transmission that takes place after a previous transmission governed by the previously defined (and subsequently altered) colorspace conversion scheme. Abstract: Described herein are embodiments for managing comments in a program code file. A system may select program code and compile it to an intermediary code. The system may compare the intermediary code to a library of intermediary code snippets associated with comments. Based on the comparison, a system may recognize the code to be obsolete. In some embodiments, a system may generate one or more recommendations to update a code. Based on received feedback regarding a recommendation, a system may accordingly update a code.
