  • Patent number: 8606777
Abstract: A search result is re-ranked/re-ordered in view of a social reputation of a user who will view the search result, where the search result comprises an ordered sequence of identifications of a plurality of network-accessible documents that match a search query. The re-ranking comprises changing an order of at least one of the identified plurality of network-accessible documents within the ordered sequence. The search result is then rendered, as re-ranked, for the user.

  • Publication number: 20130325835
Abstract: Methods provide presentation of a plurality of search results and a diagram for each of the plurality of search results. The methods are carried out with computer readable program code, when read by a processor, that is configured for receiving a plurality of search results in response to a search request and accessing a database including signifier data for each of the plurality of search results. The signifier data may include information regarding at least a first signifier and a second signifier of each of the plurality of the search results. The methods may further include generating a first diagram of the first and second signifiers for each of the plurality of search results, the first diagram based at least in part on the signifier data, and presenting the plurality of search results and the first diagram for each of the plurality of search results via a browser application.

  • Publication number: 20130322687
Abstract: Methods provide surveillance, including a modified video data stream, with computer readable program code, when read by a processor, that is configured for receiving at an image processor a first video data stream and a second video data stream. Each of the first and second video data streams may include a target object having an assigned tracking position tag. The methods may further include extracting a first facial image of the target object from the first video data stream, determining a target object location in the second video data stream based at least in part on the tracking position tag and generating a modified video data stream including the first facial image superimposed on or adjacent to the target object location in the second video data stream.

  • Publication number: 20130325840
Abstract: For filtering web search results, a method includes extracting metadata attributes and associated attribute values from web search results from a web search engine. The web search results organized into a results list with web page data grouped as an entry in the results list. The metadata attributes and associated attribute values extracted from the results list. The method includes presenting the extracted metadata attributes and receiving input from the user indicating one or more selected metadata attributes and a position indication for each selected metadata attribute. Each position indication indicates where in a custom report that attribute values for each selected metadata attribute are to appear. The method includes filtering the received results list based on the selected metadata attributes and displaying the filtered results list to the user in a custom report arranged by the selected position indication for each selected metadata attribute.

  • Publication number: 20130315560
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to social media and recordation of programs scheduled to be broadcast. Media content on one or more sites are gathered and characteristic data, such as associated tags, are extracted. A correlation of the media content with scheduled television programming is performed to identify any television programs that are related to the extracted content. In response to at least one match, a television program associated with the match is selected for a scheduled recording so that it may be viewed at a later point in time.

  • Publication number: 20130311860
Abstract: Referred documents are identified, based on search results. When search results are obtained responsive to a search query, information corresponding to one or more documents that match the search query is displayed. A user may then perform a user gesture, such as a hover operation, in association with the displayed information corresponding to any particular one of the matching documents. Responsive to the user gesture, one or more other documents are determined, each of these other documents referring to the particular one of the matching documents, and information corresponding to each of the other documents is displayed for the user. Preferably, the referring comprises an embedded reference, within each other document, to the Uniform Resource Locator (“URL”) at which the particular one of the matching documents is stored. The user can then select one of the other documents from the display.

  • Publication number: 20130298085
Abstract: Methods may provide drilling of displayed content in a touch screen device. A method may include detecting a touch gesture by a user on a first portion of displayed content on a touch display. The first portion may include a drillable data element having at least a first dimension, a second dimension and a third dimension. The method may further include detecting information associated with the touch gesture, determining a requested drilling action based at least in part on the detected information, the requested drilling action including at least one of a change of a displayed drill dimension and a change of a displayed drill degree, sending the requested drilling action of the first portion to a report server and presenting a drilled first portion on the touch display.

  • Publication number: 20130268193
Abstract: Methods provide personalized route generation with computer readable program code, when read by a processor, configured for storing an image viewing pattern in a memory, and determining a first object viewing interest from the image viewing pattern. The image viewing pattern may be based at least in part on an image viewing history. The first object viewing interest may be depicted in at least one image in the image viewing history. The method may further include receiving a request for directions to a destination in a geographic region, identifying a first area in an electronic map of the geographic region and generating a first route to the destination. • Publication number: 20130238717
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a system, method, and program product to provide a user creating an electronic message one or more alerts related to the content and addressees of the electronic message. A computer identifies the one or more addressees of the electronic message. The computer determines one or more alerts associated with each of the identified one or more addressees. The computer displays the alerts in a manner that each step is performed prior to the computer transmitting the electronic message for delivery to one or more addressees.
