Abstract: An information handling system may include a processor, a memory, a radio to transceive wirelessly via an antenna with a wireless network, and a touchpad to receive touch input via a surface of the touchpad when the information handling system is detected in a clamshell configuration, where the touch input is received by a touchpad driver and processed to a corresponding touch input command. An orientation sensor to detect when the information handling system is changed to a tablet configuration and a controller to deactivate the touchpad to receive the touch input for processing to a corresponding touch input command and to activate and operatively couple a metallic layer of the touchpad to a proximity sensor integrated circuit to detect when a user’s body is close to the antenna to reduce the power for transmission via the antenna to reduce a specific absorption rate (SAR) level.

Abstract: A method for generating codes that correspond to accounts associated with a digital wallet is provided. The method includes obtaining a primary account identifier from a user; receiving a request from the user to generate a secondary account; generating the secondary account; generating a code representing the secondary account; associating the code with the primary account identifier; and transmitting information that indicates the association between the code and the primary account identifier to a payment processor. The method may also include the use of pooled accounts through an aggregation of secondary accounts from different users.

Abstract: A system includes a transparent crystal, at least part of which is embedded within a wall and a liner of a processing chamber. The transparent crystal has a proximal end and a distal end, the distal end having a distal surface exposed to an interior of the processing chamber. A transparent thin film is deposited on the distal surface and has chemical properties substantially matching those of the liner. A light coupling device is to: transmit light, from a light source, through the proximal end of the transparent crystal, and focus, into a spectrometer, light received reflected back from a combination of the distal surface, a surface of the transparent thin film, and a surface of a process film layer deposited on the transparent thin film. The spectrometer is to detect a first spectrum within the focused light that is representative of the process film layer.

Abstract: A whole plant gas exchange apparatus employs a chamber having a first region for accommodating a growth medium and a root system of a whole plant, and a second region accommodating a canopy of the plant. The regions are separated by a barrier, except for an opening through which the stem of the plant is accommodated. An air source supplies incoming air to the second region through an intake. An air outlet conveys outgoing air from the second region to a gas sensor for analysis of the outgoing air after photosynthetic interaction with the plant canopy. A vent communicates the first region of the chamber to an ambient environment outside the chamber. A resulting pressurized state of the second region is used to exhaust air from the first region through the vent in order to isolate this exhausted air from the analyzed canopy air.

Abstract: A method of and apparatus for automatically displaying an advertisement or promotional material to a user of an automated teller machine or point of purchase terminal. The method includes accessing debit data and credit bureau data for the applicant, accessing account information for the applicant, generating a score for the applicant based on the data and the account information and determining what advertisements or promotional offers to display on the ATM or POP terminal. The apparatus is a system, including both hardware and software components for effecting the method.

The method of operation is optimized for sun sharing operation in that the solar array support structure and the solar panel array thereon is designed, spaced and computer positioned so as to optimize both the generation of electricity and the agricultural efficiency of the underlying land.

Abstract: AIN based methods and apparatus for authenticating and authorizing people to register information corresponding to a telephone number, e.g., in an ENUM database, are described. The methods of the invention may be used to authenticate a party seeking to register telephone number related information with ENUM. A trigger is set on an ENUM registration line. Calls to the ENUM registration line activate the trigger causing LIDB information corresponding to the calling party number to be retrieved. The retrieved information, e.g., name, address and/or phone number is supplied to an ENUM registration service which returns a password to be used when updating or supplying ENUM registration information corresponding to the phone number from which the registration call is placed at some future time, e.g., via the Internet. Assigned ENUM passwords can be obtained when forgotten by placing a call to the registration service from the registered or associated phone number.

Abstract: In one exemplary embodiment, a method includes: forming at least one first monolayer of first material on a surface of a substrate by performing a first plurality of cycles of atomic layer deposition; thereafter, annealing the formed at least one first monolayer of first material under a first inert atmosphere at a first temperature between about 650° C. and about 900° C.; thereafter, forming at least one second monolayer of second material by performing a second plurality of cycles of atomic layer deposition, where the formed at least one second monolayer of second material at least partially overlies the annealed at least one first monolayer of first material; and thereafter, annealing the formed at least one second monolayer of second material under a second inert atmosphere at a second temperature between about 650° C. and about 900° C.

The cloud system may be located remotely from the user computing device. The graphical representation may include a background content item and a customizable area. The method may include receiving a selection of a content item, determining a position of the selected content item within the customizable area, and transmitting the selected content item to the user computing device. The user computing device may be configured to transmit the selected content item to a print device. The print device may be configured to print the selected content item on a label of the structural document kit. The label may be configured to be affixed to the structural document.

Abstract: A method of generating a structural document may include causing, by a cloud system, a graphical representation of a structural document associated with a structural document kit to be displayed on a user computing device. The cloud system may be located remotely from the user computing device. The method may include receiving a selection of a content item, determining a position of the selected content item on a portion of the graphical representation, and transmitting the selected content item to the user computing device. The user computing device may be configured to transmit the selected content item to a print device. The print device may be configured to print the selected content item on a label of the structural document kit. Abstract: A system for printing queued print jobs includes a user interface and a job submission component. The user interface communicates user input. The job submission component submits print jobs to at least one print queue. The job submission component communicates with the user interface to receive the user input therefrom. Abstract: According to aspects illustrated herein, there are provided systems for conveying a sheet article into an intended pathway. The multi-way gate system for diverting sheets into multiple pathways in a sheet conveying device includes at least three pathways for directing the sheet from the sheet conveying member in a particular direction. A single gate plate is between the sheet conveying member and the pathways. The single gate plate is rotatable about a single axis to direct the sheet exiting the sheet conveying member toward one of the pathways.
