Abstract: An interface device is configured for printing from a host having a communications port to an imaging apparatus having a PictBridge port for receiving print data from a camera. The host includes an operating system having a spool subsystem. The interface device includes an input port configured to communicatively connect to the communications port; an output port configured to communicatively connect to the PictBridge port; and a controller interconnecting the input port and the output port. The controller is configured to execute program instructions to print from the host via the communications port to the imaging apparatus via the PictBridge port in real time using an output of the spool subsystem.

Abstract: A system and method for performing host-assisted web page printing from a mobile device is disclosed. A direct communication link is established with the mobile device and one or more files associated with a web page are received from the mobile device. The one or more files associated with the web page are transferred to a host and processed by a print application program running on the host to generate print data corresponding to the one or more files. The print data is processed through a printer driver and printed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating aggregate bandwidths of primary traffic flows are provided. Tighter upper bounds on aggregate bandwidths for arbitrary combinations of primary traffic flows may be computed. These tighter bounds are highly useful in configuring backup tunnels to protect a node in the event of failure in that the total backup bandwidth burden on individual links may be determined more accurately to permit optimal use of available backup bandwidth capacity.

Abstract: A method for performing host-assisted document printing from a mobile device in an imaging system having a printer communicatively coupled to a host includes establishing a direct communication link from the mobile device to the printer; transferring a native document file from the mobile device to the printer; sending the native document file from the printer to the host; processing the native document file by a print application program running on the host to generate print data corresponding to the native document file; processing the print data through a printer driver associated with the printer; and printing the print data at the printer.

A computer has access to the files on the computer readable medium. A communication link connects the computer to a photoprinter. The photoprinter has a selection mechanism and access to the computer readable medium over the communication link in response to a user?s input to the selection mechanism.

Abstract: Several laminate materials are provided that are particularly useful for making furniture pieces. The laminate materials may include several interleaved wood veneer and carbon fiber layers. The thickness and characteristics of these layers are chosen so that the resultant material can be used either as a support member, such as a leg, that must withstand large tensile and/or compressive forces, or is thin and flexible, for example for making chair seats or backrest. Another laminate material includes a thick stiff core. This laminate material is used for furniture members that must resist warping, such as table tops.

Alterations to the digital photographic image are processed at a first resolution while insertions of text and graphics onto the digital photographic image are processed at a second resolution.

Abstract: Polymer is recovered by ultrafiltration from a whitewater waste stream generated during the production of a polymer latex. The whitewater stream is circulated through an ultrafiltration system in laminar flow, under conditions of shear insufficient to destabilize the whitewater emulsion, and the recovered polymer is in the form of an emulsion which may be blended at significant levels into the original polymer latex without degrading its performance properties.

Abstract: A gas injector for a gas fueled internal combustion engine having a valve member that is movable between a first or closed position, in which a flow of gas through the injector is prevented, and a second or open position in which a flow of gas is permitted through the injector. A solenoid actuator moves the valve member from the first to the second position responsive to an electrical control signal which is modulated to precisely control the quantity of gas to be delivered by the gas injector to the internal combustion engine. The valve member includes a hollow valve stem having a first opening at one end and a second opening in the form of three radial apertures at the other end to allow a flow of gas through the valve member in use. The valve stem is provided with an annular flange of magnetic material at one end, which faces the end face of the solenoid actuator and forms the armature of the magnetic circuit formed by the solenoid actuator.
