One or more lists may be maintained for the blocks, an individual list ordered according to a descriptor value. Such ordered lists allow rapid identification of a block by descriptor value.

Abstract: Host system data files are written directly to a large erase block flash memory system with a unique identification of each file and offsets of data within the file but without the use of any intermediate logical addresses or a virtual address space for the memory. Directory information of where the files are stored in the memory is maintained within the memory system by its controller, rather than by the host.

Abstract: A composition and method which exhibits enhanced moisture sealing properties, suitable for use with flooring materials, such as concrete, and flooring installations, such as carpeting, wood, tiles, etc. are provided. The composition is preferably non-water-based and can form a non-aqueous barrier coating on the flooring substrate, and most preferably provides a desirable pH and blocks migration of alkaline salts through the substrate.

Abstract: Abstract of the Disclosure A garment for muffling sound generated by a user’s footstep includes a circumferential sidewall having an upper end, a lower end, and a circumferential lower portion near the lower end. When the garment is worn, the upper end encircles the user’s leg, and the lower position surrounds the user’s foot and shoe portion that surrounds the foot. The lower portion has a circumference substantially larger than the circumference of a user’s shoe, whereby the lower portion is spaced away from the user’s shoe during at least part, if not all, of a user’s footstep. In this fashion, the garment creates an enlarged chamber for muffling sounds generated by the user’s footstep.

Abstract: An adhesive composition which can be formulated to have low or substantially no VOC emissions is provided. Adhesives in accordance with the invention can be formulated as high solids, one-part, reactive, cross-linked adhesives. This can be achieved by utilizing amide-ester-acrylate reactions or reactions with any other carboxylated polymers. Adhesive compositions in accordance with the invention can include oils, such as various drying oils and similarly acting polymers, co-polymers, and fatty acids. Adhesives in accordance with the invention can also include various hydrocarbon resins, particularly crosslinkable hydrocarbons having a melting point in the range 70° C. to 140° C. Cross-linking agents, such as materials with pendant oxazoline groups are also advantageously included. Various other mixing, flow and other handling ingredients can also be included.
