Abstract: Systems and techniques for managing local communication between a network access point and a host device. Upon connection by a host device to an access point, a local connection link is established between the access point and the host device. A network connection may be established between the access point and the host device, with the network connection being able to pass through the host device to enable communication with and beyond an access network to which the access point provides a connection. Local messages may be passed between the access point and the host device over the local connection link, separately from and independent of communication that may occur over the network connection.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments include a method to perform, based on at least one of hypertext transport protocol and non-hypertext transport protocol traffic tests failing, sending an hypertext transport protocol message to a subscription remediation server URI that carries a package1 message, receiving an hypertext transport protocol response from the subscription mediation server with a package2 message, and automatically replacing a password with a new value, automatically initiating creation of a new client certificate, or launching a browser to a URI provided in the response to enable user intervention. In addition, to receive an access request from a device, determining whether credentials are valid, and if the credentials are determined valid, sending an access-accept message with a success indication, and if the credentials are determined not valid, sending an access-accept message with a success indication and an indication that access by the device is limited to only a subscription remediation server.

Abstract: According to one or more embodiments of the disclosure, a testing apparatus is provided. The testing apparatus may include a base portion configured to receive a device under test (DUT). The base portion may also include an array of light sensors to measure light leakage from the DUT. For example, the testing apparatus may receive, from the array of light sensors, one or more light intensity measurements associated with light leakage from between a bezel element and a display element along a first edge portion of the DUT. The testing apparatus may then transmit the measurements to a testing computer.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, computer program, and system is provided to redirect an internet protocol mobility session establishment request. According to certain embodiments of the invention, the request message is redirected from an original local mobility anchor (“LMA”) to an alternative LMA. According to certain embodiments of the invention, this redirection provides load balancing between the LMAs.

Abstract: A secure network access point transmits a beacon transmission. A user device receiving it determines it does not have credentials necessary to attach with the secure network access point, and so a preliminary association is formed between the user device and the secure network access point. During the preliminary association, the user device receives or creates credentials necessary to associate with the secure network access point, forms an association with the secure network access point using the received or created credentials, and obtains internet connectivity via the secure network access point. In this embodiment there is only the secure network access point, but in another embodiment there is also a non-secure network access point which transmits a beacon using the same SSID as the secure network access point, and the preliminary association is with the non-secure network access point.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system for providing a communication resource for a communication device in a communication system. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a processor and memory having computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured to, with the processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following: transmitting a message attaching to an access station over the air in an unlicensed frequency spectrum; receiving an acknowledgement over the unlicensed frequency spectrum; and receiving a multicast message indicating one selected from a channel change within the unlicensed frequency spectrum for a group including the apparatus and a radio technology change to a predetermined radio technology not using the unlicensed frequency spectrum for the group including the apparatus.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products herein enable a mobile terminal with a cognitive radio to determine at least one white space spectrum database to access based on a current location and once the at least one white space spectrum database is accessed to determine the relevant communication protocols. One example method may include accessing one or more white space database identifiers. In some example embodiments, the white space database identifiers correspond to a white space database assigned to a region. The method may further include determining whether the one or more database identifiers match a database identifier associated with a schema In some example embodiments, the schema defines one or more parameters for exchanging information with a white space spectrum database. The method may further include selecting the schema that is associated with the matched database identifier.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for sharing content. In some embodiments, there is provided a method. The method may include storing, in the first user equipment, content in a location represented by an identifier reachable by a group comprising at least one of a plurality of entities, wherein the location is under the control of the first user equipment; and sharing with the group the stored content by enabling access to the stored content in the location represented by the identifier and located in the first user equipment. Abstract: A method of configuring routers facilitates handoff of user equipment from a router to another router. The method includes configuring a virtual interface in a current router used by user equipment. The method also includes assigning a global address to the virtual interface. The global address is assigned to the virtual interface that is used to facilitate handoff of the user equipment from a current router to a new router. A system, router and user equipment are configured to implement the method.

Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to obtain white space information regarding one or more white space channels that are available at the current location of a mobile terminal and one or more service providers that offer connectivity utilizing the white space spectrum. In the context of a method performed, for example, by an access network discovery and selection function device, a location of a mobile terminal is determined and, based on the location of the mobile terminal, white space information is obtained. The method also causes the white space information to be provided to the mobile terminal, such as by utilizing a device management protocol. A corresponding apparatus and computer program product are also provided.

Abstract: Various methods dynamic agent selection in a communications network are provided. One example method includes receiving a care-of address for a mobile node and determining a target home agent gateway device to operate as a home agent for the mobile node based on the care-of address for the mobile node. The example method also includes causing the mobile node to be notified of the target home agent gateway device in preparation to trigger a binding of the target home agent gateway device to a device associated with the care-of address. In this regard, at least one subsequent data session involving the mobile node may be routed to the target home agent with which registration has been performed. Similar and related example methods and example apparatuses are also provided.

The method includes the steps of implementing a soft filtering rule at a Packet Data Serving Node and receiving, by the Packet Data Serving Node, a care-of-address that is associated with at least one the mobile station and a correspondent node. The method also includes updating, by the Packet Data Serving Node, filters with the care-of-address to correctly identify flows belonging to a particular session during Mobile IP use. The method further includes filtering, by the Packet Data Serving Node, packets including a care-of-address that is associated with one of the mobile station and the correspondent node.
