Abstract: The invention is concerned with new herbicidally active 4-phenoxy-.alpha.-phenoxy-alkanecarboxylic acid derivatives, especially propionic acid esters of the type ##STR1## bearing in the first phenoxy radical a nitro group besides another substituent R.sub.1 which is preferably a halogen atom, the CF.sub.3 group is lower alkyl, alkoxy or alkoxycarbonyl group. The invention is further concerned with herbicidal compositions containing such new derivatives and with methods for the selective control of grass-like weeds in crops of dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous cultivated plants such as cereals.

Abstract: New 1,2,4-triazoles, their manufacture and use as active ingredient on pest control is disclosed. The triazoles correspond to the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylthio,R.sub.2 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl,R.sub.3 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 -alkylthio, C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 -alkenylthio or C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 -alkynylthio, andX represents oxygen or sulphur.

Abstract: The present invention relates to novel 3,4-dimethyl-2-hydroxy-5-oxo-2,5-dihydropyrrole compounds substituted on the nitrogen atom, to processes for producing them, to their use in agriculture for combating animal and plant pests and also for regulating plant growth, and to compositions containing these novel pyrrole compounds.The novel 3,4-dimethyl-2-hydroxy-5-oxo-2,5-dihydropyrrole compounds substituted on the nitrogen atom correspond to the formula ##STR1## where A represents the hydroxyl group, a halogen atom or an O-acyl radical, andR represents an aryl radical, an aralkyl radical, or an heteroaromatic radical which has 5-6 ring members and which is bound by way of a carbon atom.
