  • Patent number: 12275328
Abstract: Various embodiments and approaches are described to minimize degradation of respective modules combined to form a battery pack onboard an electric vehicle (EV). Systems and components are presented to determine a respective operational state of the modules, and based thereon, a first subset of modules can be selected to provision power to various EV components while a second subset of modules can be deselected. Module selection can be based upon a threshold operating condition. A visual representation of the modules and their respective operational state can be presented, in conjunction with one or more alarms and recommended corrective operations. Artificial intelligence methods can be utilized to determine an operational state of a module(s). A module can be scheduled for replacement. Limiting degradation to a first module can minimize degradation of a second module. The various components can be stored in a memory and executed by a processor.

  • Publication number: 20250118271
Abstract: An electro-optic display and driving method are disclosed. The electro-optic display includes a layer of electrophoretic material disposed between a common electrode and a backplane. The backplane includes an array of pixel electrodes, each coupled to a pixel transistor. A controller provides time-dependent voltages to the gate line, the source line, and the common electrode of each pixel transistor. The driving method includes applying a first stage voltage to the gate line. The first stage voltage has a first magnitude that is substantially half of a gate low voltage for placing the pixel transistor in a non-conducting state. The first stage voltage is maintained on the gate line for a first period of time. Then, a second stage voltage is applied to the gate line, where the second stage voltage has a second magnitude that is substantially the gate low voltage for placing the pixel transistor in the non-conducting state.

  • Publication number: 20250119237
Abstract: The present invention relates to HARQ, particularly for IEEE 802.11, i.e. Wi-Fi. The invention proposes a transmitting device for supporting such HARQ, in which the order of scrambling and encoding is changed compared to the conventional transmitter. Likewise the invention proposes a receiving device for supporting such HARQ, in which the order of descrambling and decoding is changed compared to the conventional receiver. In particular, the transmitting device is configured to encode at least one data unit using Forward Error Correction (FEC) coding, scramble the encoded data unit based on a scrambling seed, provide an indication of the scrambling seed that is separate from the scrambled and encoded data unit, and transmit the indication of the scrambling seed and then the scrambled and encoded data unit to a receiving device.
