  • Publication number: 20250228338
Abstract: The integration of dissimilar materials poses a significant challenge in engineering, necessitating innovative solutions for robust and reliable joining. Interlocking metasurfaces (ILMs) are a new joining technology comprising arrays of autogenous features patterned across two surfaces that interlock to form robust structural joints. The present invention is directed to optimizing the tensile performance of ILM joints formed between dissimilar materials. Parametric optimization can be used to identify optimal unit cell geometries for maximal yield strength. The invention enables the design of stronger ILM joints between dissimilar materials, thereby making ILMs a versatile and effective joining technology in diverse engineering applications.

  • Patent number: 12357198
Abstract: A system and method for determining a patient force during a motion includes a tether adapted to be biased during a motion so that a tension force is applied. The tether is connected a motor and generates a tether force about the motor. The system controls the motor by generating a motor torque in a direction opposite the tether force. A recording module stores the motor torque at a plurality of intervals during the motion and a position of the tether. A display module generates a plot of a position of the patient versus a force generated by the patient. The position of the patient corresponds to the cumulative rotation of the shaft in the first direction about the axis of rotation of the shaft at each of the intervals. The force generated by the patient corresponds to the amount of motor torque at each of the intervals.

  • Publication number: 20250225271
Abstract: The technology disclosed allows for leveraging decentralized credentials to achieve bidirectional authentication between two actors leveraging a messaging platform/system, such as email or another text-based system, verifiable credentials (VCs), and secure web endpoints. It empowers one party (“Sender”) to send a message enclosed with a Verifiable Presentation which allows another party (“Recipient”) to authenticate the message's provenance and the identity of the sender. Moreover, the message contains a link to a secure web endpoint, where the recipient can submit a response signed by their own Verifiable Presentation, allowing the Sender to authenticate the identity of the Recipient. In this way, both participants are able to authenticate each other's identities with an additional factor of authentication, with neither participant being required to share a single service.

  • Patent number: 12347056
Abstract: Techniques for intelligently repositioning a hologram for an object in a scene based on a past condition of the object and/or a planned future condition of the object are disclosed. A hologram is identified for an object in a scene. Identifying the hologram includes identifying a current location of the hologram within the scene. Time-based data associated with the object is accessed. The time-based data includes at least one of a past condition of the object or a planned future condition of the object. A new location for the hologram is selected within the scene. This selection is based on the time-based data. The hologram is then repositioned to the new location.

  • Publication number: 20250146308
Abstract: A static arm platform for mounting onto a static arm includes a rigid saddle adapted for releasable mounting down onto the static arm, at a desired location along the static arm dictated by a pre-chosen static arm cross section profile formed as lower cut-outs in a pair of gusset plates mounted at each end of the saddle between a pair of rigid flanks extending down the sides of the saddle. The lower cut-outs snuggly fit onto and over the static arm at the desired locations on the static arm to resist a rotation of the saddle relative to the static arm when a lineman is standing on one of a pair of foot decks mounted at the lower ends of the rigid flanks, wherein the rigid flanks define a static arm receiving cavity to envelope the static arm when the static arm platform is mounted on the static arm.

  • Patent number: 12290815
Abstract: Droplet interfaces are formed between droplets in an electro-wetting device comprising an array of actuation electrodes. Actuation signals are applied to selected actuation electrodes to place the droplets into an energised state in which the shape of the droplets is modified compared to a shape of the droplets in a lower energy state and to bring the two droplets into proximity. The actuation signals are then changed to lower the energy of the droplets into the lower energy state so that the droplets relax into the gap and the two droplets contact each other thereby forming a droplet interface. The use of sensing electrodes in the device permit electrical current measurements across the droplet interface. The sensing electrodes can be used for either (i) applying a reference signal during droplet actuation or (ii) recording electrical current measurements.

  • Publication number: 20250139094
Abstract: User-input unstructured text data describing one or more entities is received, at least one of which is associated with the figure. The unstructured text data is processed to generate corresponding structured text data, and the structured text data is processed to generate a set of parts. A subset of the set of parts identifying parts that are present in the figure is determined and prompt data is formulated for a neural network large language model to generate description text corresponding to the figure. The formulating of the prompt data includes deriving description data associated with the figure from the user-input unstructured text data, deriving part data corresponding to the subset of the set of parts for the figure. The prompt data is sent to the large language model, and in return description text data is received for the figure from the large language model.

  • Patent number: 12289484
Abstract: A method of communicating an alert includes: encoding data received from a plurality of sources by a central content controller (CCC) and determining existence of one or more alerts. If no alerts exist, the encoded data is assigned as streams to subchannels. For existing alerts, a market area (MA) is determined and the alert is assigned as a stream to a data subchannel and the encoded data is assigned as streams to remaining subchannels. For each MA without an applicable alert, the encoded data is assigned as streams to the subchannels. The assigned data is transmitted to regional controllers (RCs) for broadcasting to the associated MAs.
