  • Patent number: 10601844
Abstract: A non-rule based security detection system and method is described. The method includes identifying a plurality of data sources. The method then proceeds to generate a baseline for each data source. The baseline includes a plurality of data source outputs that are evaluated over a time period. A plurality of data source anomalies are detected, in which each data source anomaly is associated with at least one data source output exceeding a threshold for the data source baseline. A geolocation for each data source anomaly is then identified. A plurality of correlations between the plurality of data source anomalies and the geolocation for each data source anomaly are generated. At least one correlation is associated with a security event.

Abstract: Temperature value determination of at least one variable frequency drive component is provided. In one form, a method includes providing a variable frequency drive that includes a first component in thermal communication with a second component in thermal communication with a switching device. A temperature value of the second component is determined using a temperature value of the first component, a power loss characteristic of the drive, and a first characteristic of heat transfer between the first and second components. The method further includes sensing a temperature value of the second component and determining a temperature value for the switching device using the power loss characteristic, a second characteristic of heat transfer between the second component and the switching device, and the greater of the sensed and determined temperature values of the second component. Further embodiments, forms, features, and aspects shall become apparent from the description and drawings.

  • Patent number: 10571426
Abstract: A pixel circuit acts as a sensing element in a sensing device. The pixel circuit includes a sensing electrode, a first gate electrically connected to the sensing electrode, a second gate in electrical communication with the first gate, and a readout device that is electrically connected to the second gate. An input voltage applied to the sensing electrode is amplified between the first gate and the second gate, the amplification being measured as an output signal from the readout device to perform a sensing operation. For example, the output signal may be relatable to pH, analyte measurements, or other properties of sample liquids analyzed by the sensing device. A sensing device may include multiple pixels disposed on a substrate, each pixel including said pixel circuit. Driver circuits controlled by control electronics are configured to generate signals that selectively address the pixels and to read out voltages at the sensing electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20200058158
Abstract: Example systems and methods improve a location detection process. A system accesses image data and image metadata, whereby the image data captures images of a plurality of objects from different views, each image having corresponding image metadata. The system then detects each object in the plurality of objects in the image data. A plurality of rays in three-dimensional space is generated, whereby each ray of the plurality of rays is generated based on the detected objects and the corresponding image metadata. The system predicts object locations using the generated rays based on a probabilistic triangulation of the rays. The networked system updates map data using the predicted object locations. The updating includes adding objects at their predicted object locations to the map data. The map data is used to generate a map.

  • Publication number: 20200057914
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating sets of candidates comprising images and places within a threshold geographic proximity based on geographic information associated with each of the plurality of images and geographic information associated with each place. For each set of candidates, the systems and methods generate a similarity score based on a similarity between text extracted from each image and a place name, and the geographic information associated with each image and each place. For each place with an associated image as a potential match, the systems and methods generate a name similarity score based on matching the extracted text of the image to the place name, and store an image as place data associated with a place based on determining that the name similarity score for the extracted text associated with the image is higher than a second predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 10564117
Abstract: An active matrix electro-wetting on dielectric (AM-EWOD) device includes a plurality of array elements arranged in an array, each array element including array element circuitry, an element electrode, and a reference electrode. The array element circuitry includes an actuation circuit configured to apply actuation voltages to the electrodes, and an impedance sensor circuit configured to sense impedance at the array element electrode to determine a droplet property. The actuation circuitry includes a memory capacitor for storing voltage data corresponding to either an actuated state or an unactuated state of the array element, and an input applied to the memory capacitor operates to effect an operation of the impedance sensor circuit. Such input may isolate the array element from the actuation voltage during operation of the impedance sensor circuit, and the memory capacitor may operate as part of the impedance sensor circuit as a reference capacitor for determining the droplet property.
