Abstract: A device including a support (4) comprising a support base defining a spherical base contact surface, extending along a virtual sphere (S) and a circular rim extending in a rim plane; a first and a second needle mobile on the support between extracted and inserted positions in which the first and second needles are outside and maximally inserted in said virtual sphere, respectively, via first and second intermediate piercing positions in which, respectively, the first and second needles extend along first and second insertion axis and their tips are located on first and second insertion points belonging respectively to first and second hemispheres of the virtual sphere separated by a “median radial plane of the rim”, an angle (?) between the median radial plane and any insertion axis being between 70° and 110°.

Abstract: A ceiling tile clip includes a top wall, a pair of parallel, spaced side walls that extend downwardly from opposite edges of the top wall and flanges at lower edges of the side walls that extend outwardly. The top wall includes a threaded opening in the center thereof. The ceiling tile clip is configured to be attached to an elongated ceiling grid member by a threaded member that threadedly engages the threaded opening. The elongated ceiling grid member has side surfaces and lower flange portions. When the ceiling tile clip is attached to the elongated ceiling grid member, the top wall of the ceiling tile clip is above the elongated ceiling grid member, the side walls of the ceiling tile clip are alongside the side surfaces of the elongated ceiling grid member and the flanges of the ceiling tile clip are above the flange portions.

Abstract: A testing system includes: a substrate having a probe pad and having a supply input; driver circuitry having a driver output; a transistor having a gate, a source, and a drain; and a field effect transistor (FET) engager. The gate of the transistor is coupled to the driver output, and the drain of the transistor is coupled to the supply input. The FET engager is configured to couple the probe pad to the gate of the transistor and provide test instrument measurement of gate current of the transistor without test instrument probe capacitance impacting operation of the transistor.

Abstract: An air traffic command automation system for automating the process of listening to, interpreting, adhering to, and responding to air traffic command messages is disclosed. The system includes one or more processors configured by programming instructions on non-transient computer readable media. The system is configured to: receive an air traffic command message, from an entity other than the flight crew, that includes one or more tasks for the aircraft to perform; determine from the command message the one or more tasks for the aircraft to perform; generate a sequence of actions for each task that the aircraft can undertake to accomplish the task; verify the coherence, feasibility, and safety of the actions; relay an interpretation of the command message to the command message originator; preview the verified sequence of actions with the flight crew; and issue commands to execute actions at appropriate points during a mission.

Abstract: Systems are provided for managing defect data objects. A system stores a plurality of defect data objects that have been input to the system, and generates an issue item including one or more defect data objects that are selected from the stored defect data objects based on user input. The system determines similarity between the one or more defect data objects in the issue item and one or more of the stored defect data objects that are out of the issue item, based on comparison of one or more parameter values. The system determines one or more candidate defect data objects to be included in the issue item from the one or more of the stored defect data objects that are out of the issue item based on the similarity, and includes one or more of the determined candidate defect data objects in the issue item based on user input.

Abstract: A configurable printing bed for a 3D printer includes a bed surface and linear actuators. The bed surface includes bed surface portions. Each of the bed surface portions is supported for independent movement. When each of the bed surface portions is positioned at the reference level, the bed surface portions form different parts of a common plane. Each of the linear actuators is connected to at least one of the bed surface portions, respectively. The linear actuators are configured to generate the independent movement of the bed surface portions and to effect positioning of the bed surface portions. A 3D printer includes the configurable printing bed, an extruder, a feeding system, and a filament spool. A method for performing 3D printing includes providing the 3D printer and printing an object using the 3D printer.

Abstract: A food kit may include a food item, a shaped food seasoning product, and a container. In some examples, the shaped food seasoning product defines a three-dimensional shape and includes a binder material binding the shaped food seasoning product together to define the three-dimensional shape and seasoning. The seasoning may form greater than 20 weight percent of the shaped food seasoning product. The container may enclose the food item and the shaped food seasoning product so that the food item and the shaped food seasoning product are contained inside the container. During use, a consumer may transfer the contents of the food kit to a cooking container and add liquid to the container, causing the shaped food seasoning product to dissolve and release the seasoning bound in the seasoning product.

Abstract: A surge flow mitigation tool can include a surge flow valve that permits one-way fluid flow through a flow passage, and a bypass flow path that opens when a differential pressure across the surge flow valve is greater than a predetermined level. A method of mitigating surge flow in a well can include producing fluid through a tubular string with a bottom hole assembly including a surge flow mitigation tool connected downhole of a packer, the surge flow mitigation tool including a surge flow valve that permits the fluid to flow toward surface via the tubular string, but prevents the fluid from flowing into the well via the tubular string, and increasing a differential pressure across the surge flow valve to greater than a predetermined level, thereby opening a bypass flow path that permits injection flow from the tubular string into the well downhole of the packer.

Abstract: Systems and methods of using a multiport assembly and associated components are disclosed. The multiport assembly can include a multiport device that communicatively couples multiple sets or pairs of connectors, such as optical connectors or electrical connectors, together. The multiport assembly can also include an auxiliary port device that couples to the multiport device to expand the capacity of the multiport assembly. Both the multiport and auxiliary port devices can be selectively configured to receive specific types of connectors by selectively coupling to different types of adapters, where the types of adapters correspond to the types of connectors. When coupled to the multiport or auxiliary port devices, the adapters facilitate the formation of the communication between its corresponding set of connectors.

Abstract: Systems and methods for proactive transfer of stored data between storage zones to avoid anticipated bit rot are provided. In embodiments, a method includes: determining that one or more quality prediction parameters of a storage zone of a data storage device meet a predetermined threshold for user access or adjacency to another storage zone determined to be unhealthy; and initiating a proactive refreshing of the storage zone based on the determining that the storage zone meets the predetermined threshold, the proactive refreshing of the storage zone including: reading all data in the storage zone; determining that no errors have occurred during the reading of the data; and based on the determination that no errors have occurred, moving all of the data of the storage zone to a new storage zone.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an aircraft door system including an aircraft door configured to translate from a closed position to an open position. The aircraft door system further includes a plurality of door pressure stops positioned along a length of the aircraft door and a handle coupled to the aircraft door. A rotation of the handle causes a first translation of the aircraft door in an inward direction and a forward direction. The aircraft door system further includes a hinge system coupled to the aircraft door. An outward force applied to the aircraft door causes a second translation of the aircraft door in an outward direction and a forward direction. The hinge system causes the aircraft door to translate such that the aircraft door remains parallel to the aircraft fuselage throughout an entirety of the second translation until the aircraft door reaches the open position.
