Abstract: A centralizer includes one or more centralizer fins radially extending from a body of the centralizer. The centralizer fins may include one or more chambers extending through the outer surfaces of the centralizer fins. The one or more chambers may change shape in response to a compression force being applied to the centralizer fins to cause the centralizer fins to deform. The centralizer fins may be deformed for installation of the centralizer in a drill collar. The centralizer may also include a split-ring clamp for coupling the centralizer to a drilling tool positioned in a through-bore of the centralizer body. • Patent number: 9317677
Abstract: Content items are distributed to a content delivery network using identifiers that expresses relationships between the content items and at least one associated content element. When making requests to content delivery network, a requesting Web browser may thus specify the content items according to uniform resource locators that include credentials that allow the content delivery network to verify that the browser is authorized to receive the content items. These uniform resource locators may uniquely associate the content items with the associated content element and the requesting browser in a cryptographically secure manner.

  • Publication number: 20150006761
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for brokering access to peripheral devices and/or device models associated with a computing system. An access broker evaluates requests for access to peripheral devices/models on behalf of a plurality of applications. The access broker evaluates requests for access to peripheral devices including scanners, point-of-sale devices, and devices using ubiquitous device protocols (e.g., USB, HID, Bluetooth, and Bluetooth LE) utilizing application declarations and user consents based upon device model identifiers and/or device-specific identifiers associated with the various devices. Applications may be notified of consent changes at runtime and/or application firmware updates for peripheral devices may be conducted upon receipt of user consent, for instance, to ensure adequate battery power before performing a peripheral device firmware update.

  • Patent number: 8808608
Abstract: An improved electroblowing process is provided for forming a fibrous web of nanofibers wherein polymer stream is issued from a spinning nozzle in a spinneret with the aid of a forwarding gas stream, passes an electrode and a resulting nanofiber web is collected on a collector. The process includes applying a high voltage to the electrode and grounding the spinneret such that an electric field is generated between the spinneret and the electrode of sufficient strength to impart an electrical charge on the polymer as it issues from the spinning nozzle.

  • Publication number: 20140089192
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to computer that can utilize a first computer and a second computer. The first computer may determine a first fraud score based on transaction data. If the first fraud score is indeterminate, the transaction may be assigned to a transaction review queue. If the subsequent review takes too long to complete, then a second computer may be used to compute a second fraud score to determine an outcome for the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20140089193
Abstract: Systems and methods for testing new profiles and rules against past transaction data in a quick manner are provided. A set of transactions is identified by a merchant based on a selection criterion that is replayed against the new profile. Results of the replay are recorded and compared against the original results obtained from applying an existing profile to the same set of transaction data. A tic-tac-toe report is generated for the merchant showing shifts in transaction results between the existing profile and the new profile. Embodiments of the invention further allow merchants to generate multiple scores, in parallel, against different transaction models using knobs or hedges.
