  • Publication number: 20110187480
Abstract: The invention relates to a lossy triphase low-pass filter (34) having a filter choke (18), a filter capacitor (20), and an attenuation element (32) per phase of said low-pass filter (34), wherein one filter capacitor (20) and one attenuation element (32) each are electrically connected in series. According to the invention, two diodes (36, 38) are provided as attenuation elements, which are electrically connected to each other in an anti-parallel manner. In this manner a lossy triphase low-pass filter (34) is obtained, the power loss of which is significantly reduced without any loss of the attenuation effect.

  • Patent number: 7806056
Abstract: An aim of at least one embodiment of the invention is to reduce ripple forces in a magnetic levitation transport system to the largest extent. In one solution, an example embodiment of the invention provides that grooves extending transversal to the longitudinal direction are diagonally oriented in a magnet block for the long stator. In another solution, an example embodiment of the invention provides that, in a magnet block for the levitation magnet of a magnetic levitation transport system, pole heads, with regard to their outer areas, which extend next to outer grooves, are provided in a varied and complementary manner in the direction of the grooves whereby the overall width of both outer areas along the grooves always corresponds to the width of a tooth between the grooves. An embodiment of the invention also relates to a method for producing this magnet block.

  • Publication number: 20090072820
Abstract: A method and a system are disclosed for determining the distance between a conducting surface which is profiled in the direction of distance determination and a functional surface moving in relation to the surface by using a measuring system. Two exploring coils are applied to an oscillator system and are connected on the output end to an analog-to-digital converter via a demodulator, the analog-to-digital converter being connected to an arithmetic module. In at least one embodiment of the invention, a method and a system are provided which allow to effect a distance measurement substantially uninfluenced by the profile of the conducting surface and by variations in ambient temperature. For this purpose, a sensor is used whose second exploring coil is mounted on the first exploring coil facing away from the surface at a defined, known distance.

  • Publication number: 20030179021
Abstract: A drive control circuit for a junction field-effect transistor having a gate terminal, a drain terminal and a source terminal, includes a controllable current supply or voltage supply to produce a reverse control current or a reverse control voltage for the gate. The current supply or voltage supply is controlled in such a way that upon a switch-off of the junction field-effect transistor, the absolute magnitude of the reverse control current or the reverse control voltage assumes initially a higher value and then a lower value, whereby the lower value is sufficient for blocking the junction field-effect of the transistor.

  • Patent number: 6614281
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for turning off a cascode circuit comprising a series circuit formed by a low-blocking-capability and high-blocking-capability semiconductor switch, are described. When a turn-off command arrives, the gate voltage of the low-blocking-capability semiconductor switch is controlled in such a way that its drain voltage is held constant in the active range of the low-blocking-capability semiconductor switch. Consequently, an impermissible overvoltage at high potential of the cascode circuit at low potential is detected and actively limited.

  • Publication number: 20030058597
Abstract: A power converter device includes a power part accommodated in a first casing, and an electronic part accommodated in a separate second casing. The power part and the electronic part are connected to one another through a signal transmission arrangement, e.g. a cable or a radio communication. The power converter device thus has spatially separated power and electronic parts to realize a thermal separation as well and to enable a more compact overall configuration.

  • Patent number: 6535050
Abstract: A hybrid power MOSFET having a low blocking-capability MOSFET and a high blocking-capability junction FET is disclosed. In accordance with the present invention, this cascode circuit has at least two high blocking-capability junction FETs which are electrically connected in parallel and whose gate connections are respectively electrically conductively connected to the source connection of the low blocking-capability MOSFET by means of a connecting line. Thus, a hybrid power MOSFET for a high current-carrying capacity is obtained whose design technology has been considerably simplified on account of the use of only one control line and n+1 chips.
