Abstract: A method of changing channels of a first device in a wireless network, which includes a first coordinator and at least one device, comprises searching whether another channel other than a first channel which is currently used in the wireless network is available, changing the first channel to a second channel among at least one or more available channels as a result of the searching step, and transmitting data to a second device or receiving data from the second device through the second channel.

Abstract: A method of allocating channel resources from a first device to a second device in a wireless network comprises receiving channel resource allocation information from a coordinator of the wireless network to allocate the channel resources; transmitting data to the second device through the allocated channel resources; receiving channel resource request information from the second device to request the first device to allocate a part of the allocated channel resources; and deciding whether to allocate the part of the channel resources allocated from the coordinator, to the second device in accordance with the channel resource request information.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses of transmitting a beacon using fragmentation are disclosed. One of the methods includes configuring a beacon in a manner that a schedule block selected for a specific wireless device (deice) only is included in an information element by a coordinator and transmitting the configured beacon to the specific wireless station directionally. Accordingly, an overhead of a beacon can be reduced in a manner of transmitting information specified to a station using a directional beacon or transmitting the beacon by dividing information contained in the beacon into several fragments.

Abstract: A method for sharing a channel in a communication system is disclosed. The method includes receiving scheduling information including information about a channel time reserved by other user devices, and transmitting data through the reserved channel time if a result of performing scanning in the reserved channel time indicates that no interference occurs, wherein the communication system performs communication using beam signals which are directional. If the signals are highly directional, the channel sharing method enables a plurality of user devices to share a channel, thereby increasing the efficiency of channel use.

Abstract: A method for transmitting data in a transmitting device of a wireless network comprises transmitting one or more data packets to a receiving device via a reserved region comprising channel resources allocated by a coordinator, and transmitting channel time extension information for requesting channel time extension to the receiving device, in order to transmit the data packets on an unreserved region in which the coordinator does not allocate channel resources to any devices.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for initiating a session in a home network system are disclosed. A method for initiating a session over a HDBaseT network includes transmitting, by an initiation entity, a session initiation request message for initiating the session to at least one session partner selected by the initiation entity over an Ethernet network, and receiving a session initiation response message acting as a response to the session partner over the Ethernet network. The session initiation request message includes a first source reference field for identifying the initiation entity and a second final target reference (FTR) field for identifying the at least one session partner.

Abstract: Relating to a home network system and a home entertainment system, a method and an apparatus for transmitting packets in a home network system and a home entertainment system are disclosed. Additionally, a method for identifying devices to which the packets are to be transmitted and an apparatus for supporting the same are also disclosed herein. According to an embodiment, a method for transmitting a packet in a high definition base transmission (hereinafter referred to as HDBaseT) system includes the steps of receiving data from a source device in a transmission adaptor, converting the received data from the transmission adaptor to a downstream packet, in order to transmit the converted downstream packet to a receiving adaptor through an HDBaseT network, and transmitting the converted downstream packet to the receiving adaptor. Abstract: In wireless network communication, the present invention provides a method of checking whether information on a request for a mode change is received for a prescribed channel time in a manner that a device configuring a network enters a power save mode in the course of not performing data transmission/reception and that a modem enters an awake state from a sleep state for the prescribed channel time. And, the prescribed channel time is determined to correspond to a time for transmitting a beacon. According to one preferred embodiment of the present invention, a modem of a device in a power save mode enters an awake state for a channel time period for broadcasting a beacon and then checks whether information on a power management mode change is received. If the information does not exist, a sleep state is reentered. If the power management mode change information is received, a power is managed by performing data transmission/reception in a manner of switching to a normal mode.

The number information included in a last beacon among the one or more beacons is set to “0,” and the new coordinator broadcasts a beacon after receiving the last beacon from the current coordinator.

The present invention relates to a method of selecting an optimal device as a coordinator in selecting the different device using priority information decided by a prescribed evaluation reference. And, the present invention relates to a method of simplifying a procedure in a manner of transmitting relevant information together with a handover request message. In a wireless network including a coordinator, a secondary coordinator is decided in advance. If the coordinator is suddenly unable to perform a function, the present invention relates to a method of enabling the function of the coordinator to be performed by the decided secondary coordinator. Thus, a process for transferring the coordinating function without the handover process is called a recovery process.
